IRS conspiracies fall apart as BOLO list targeting ‘progressive’ groups revealed

Just that there is no evidence that they did, right?
The IRS admitted to inappropriately targeting, the Obama people had nothing to do with it.

Not that I am saying they did, but, how do you know they didn't?

You are correct don't know it, but there has been no evidence they had anything to do with it.

Good afternoon Lady P - I'm surprised - you're living the life of leisure in Texas, your daughter seeing to your every need and desire, and you're not happy??
!

CJ, leisure is not a word she is familiar with! Talk about a slavedriver....I had to get better in self defense! :lamo: Her boss let her work from home for the past two weeks, but she went back to her workplace yesterday. Now I feel like I am on vacation...finally, and while I'm not exactly carrying drinks on a tray yet, I am walking all over the place on my own! Yay! The surgeon is very pleased at my rapid recovery, and may let me fly home next week.

Well ... we know what the IRS did to delay processing what they believed were Conservative tax exempt status ... but what did they actually DO with these several hits on OCCUPY and PROGRESSIVE ... fast track 'em maybe? Yes? No? What?

You are correct don't know it, but there has been no evidence they had anything to do with it.

I see. The number of Shulman's visits are of no consequence I suppose?

Then you obviously have no idea what I enjoy.

I would not enjoy living in a country where everyone pays the same tax rate - regardless of their income?

And every single sane adult can do their own taxes in less then five minutes?

You are darn right I would want to live in a country like that.

Ah such sweet fantasies are created by total ignorance of historical precedent and social anthropology.

Why do you think they admitted they did it if they didn't do it?

Edit: would this be more evidence?

Report finds IRS targeted conservative groups, delayed applications - CNN.com

"The IRS used inappropriate criteria that identified for review Tea Party and other organizations applying for tax-exempt status based upon their names or policy positions instead of indications of potential political campaign intervention," according to the report.

Nowhere does the IRS say they targeted right wing groups because they were right wing.

There is no credible evidence that shows the Obama administration is anywhere involved with this "scandal." All it evidence seems to point to the fact that the IRS is extremely incompetent, especially when they started to get increased request for 501c4 nonprofit after the Citizens United decision in Jan 2010. Despite the lack of evidence, Rep Darrell Issa has been saying Obama is involved.

Yea he just greatly benefited from it. The top IRS official visited the WH more than 150 times before the 2012 election and now we learning the scandal is more widespread than initially thought. I'm sure it's just a coincidence or something  An Obama sycophant like you will never hold him accountable for anything. If this was B000SH you'd be screaming for his impeachment right now.

Why the IRS Scandal Needs a Special Prosecutor - NationalJournal.com

The IG report was based on a cursory audit. It was not a full-fledged investigation. And yet Democrats disingenuously claimed that it exonerated the Obama administration and the president's re-election campaign from any involvement in IRS targeting.

To truly "hold the responsible parties accountable," Obama still needed a thorough and impartial inquiry led by investigators who would question witnesses under oath, and would subpoena the White House and his own re-election campaign for related emails and other documents.

He did not ask for that.

Your problem is you think Obama had absolutely nothing to do with it without a formal investigation being conducted by a non partisan special council. You seriously need to take a long hard look in the mirror and face what you have become politically and ideologically. This issue has NOTHING to do with political parties. Your temper tantrums about Issa and Republicans are irrelevant. None of that matters. What matters is the truth. You don't want the truth. You want to distract and obfuscate with a sideshow because you've sold your soul to a product of Hope and Change that was sold to you like the latest Hollywood Blockbuster.

You're embarrassing yourself more with every post. The IRS already apologized for specifically targeting Tea Party and Religious groups. What part of that do you not understand?

I think in order to get a special council, you need some evidence that there some indication there is corruption in the WH inner circle. So far there has nothing been found. The reason Patrick Fitzgerald was put on the Valerie Plame case was because Scooter Libpy gave the FBI false (he lied) information. Evidence, evidence, evidence.

Nah, it just targeted them based on what they believed---which is the same thing.

That's what I have been saying for weeks now and it's like beating my head against a wall.

The right wants to pretend that because the IRS admitted to doing something wrong, they can blame the IRS for anything they can dream up.

Soon, they'll be blaming the IRS for Kennedy assassination

"If they didn't do it, then why are they apologizing?!!"

Ah such sweet fantasies are created by total ignorance of historical precedent and social anthropology.

Funny, they probably used the exact same argument against abolishing slavery and giving women the vote.

Suggesting that fair taxation is impossible is ignorant in the extremis.

Our discussion on this is done for now...I do not waste my time with closed-minded people.

Have a nice day.

WHo would have thought the IRS would target political groups who were posing as social welfare groups?

The NERVE of them!

Oh, so the goal posts move now, do they?

So. Its ok to target them because they dont agree with YOUR concept of social welfare?

Awwww... it looks like yet another phoney outrage and manufactured story to make the Democrats (particularly Obama) look bad, unprofessional, deceitful and evil has gone up in smoke. Will Issa eat a whole ****ing humble pie for himself, or will he still pretend (like those who suffer from tinfoilasitis), that the big bad IRS -- no matter the evidence -- IS still after the poor and victimized widdle wight wingers? So many here were duped big time and it seems to be a common occurrence in this days of misinformation. So, to those who fell hook line and sinker... how does this new information make you feel and how will you approach the next "scandal"? I am seriously curious.

Funny thing, there are some major concrete things to be upset with the Obama Administration, including the fact that they have done pretty much nothing to change the regulations of the banking industry... an industry that almost collapsed the American economy. Amazing that it seems few are angry about this, yet get a boner with incredibly stupid stories like the IRS.

Not sure they should be targeting anyone.

It's not "my* concept of social welfare.

And only the right wingers seem to think that campaigning for a specific candidate is "social welfare"
