My response to that is if the fraudsters were kept off or removed, people who legitimately need the assistance such as your father could receive far, far more. Who should MOST be outraged at disability fraud are those who actually do have disabilities preventing their employment.

Absolutely if that is the best job she can find. What are you claiming, that everyone who works at McDonalds, Burger King or WalMart should all quit and go on welfare?

Logic dictates that it is impossible to have a program this size that does not have some level of theft and abuse. Can you tell me there is none?

Since Cameron's battle against benefit fraud...one third of the long term ''disabled'' have dropped their claims..

I think it was deplorable that companies such as the scooter store pushed doctors to say that patients who were only short term disabled or who use walkers were pushed into prescribing motorized mobility chairs and scooters.

I was happy when I found out they were being investigated for fraud.

There are people who really need mobility chairs and then there are those whose lives would be made easier if they had them but they don't really them.

If she is able to work at even a part time job (at just about anywhere), she can make $800 a month fairly easy. I say part time because she may be in school or want to go to school. And Pell Grants may help with that part.

We have a free disability scooter program in our town..get off bus..get scooter free of charge.and head for the nearest cheap bar..

All I saw was that most of these people were too fat to walk..we also have a free town bus..not full of elderly people who have difficulty in walking etc..but full of fat women with their equally fat children who can't be assed to walk..

It takes 10 minutes to walk from one side of the town to the other...

Disabilities can cause people to gain weight.
When people cannot exercise properly they gain weight.
If a person has limited mobility ( where they are partly mobile but cannot walk more 50 feet with or without a walker ) before stopping and sitting the best exercise is water exercise if they can get into pool most people with limited mobility can increase their strength in the water.
20 minutes of pool walking equals about a mile of regular walking.

I can understand that...how about people who are not officially disabled just obese? Obesity is crippling..These young fat people are a ticking time bomb for the future..
