Darrell Issa's IRS Investigation Is Falling Apart

heh heh ... Media Matters makes it sound like the press has been giving a pass to Issa like they've been doing to Obama for a decade now.

Hey Bori ... wanna see some blasts from the Politico past? Memory Lane stuff?

Good point ... I remember they didn't cover Obama's "pal" Ayers, Rev. Wright (taking his words out of context), they didn't cover the birthers, etc. ... good point as always Bubba ....

hmmmm ... I wonder why he smelled one ... but be careful, there are some cons on these threads that hold Issa in the highest esteem (although, in fairness to them, Issa is ranked near the top of GOP Congressmen/women with the most integrity - everything is relative I guess) ...

tut tut tut ... that level of Bori sarcasm is not appreciated.

The funny part is that while you were trying to be sarcastic you were actually reinforcing the fact that the MSM wanted Obama and gave him a pass on his past.
Go ahead, find the absolute worst coverage of Obama's relationships with those guys by a MSM outlet.
As soon as Obama said Ayers was just a guy in the neighborhood despite his radicalism and that he couldn't disown Wright despite his racism, the media went all

... as if that's all they needed.

And him bringing Van Jones into the WH caused nary a ripple.

provide a link to the quote where Issa announced a verdict

Darrell Issa, R-Calif., citing the testimony of IRS employees who spoke to his committee behind closed doors, argued Sunday that the tax agency's targeting of conservative groups was not the result of a few "rogue agents" in the Cincinnati field office, as the IRS and the Obama administration have insisted, but the product of a direct order from IRS headquarters in Washington.

"As late as last week, the administration's still trying to say there's a few rogue agents in Cincinnati," Issa said on CNN. "When in fact the indication is they were directly being ordered from Washington
."

Sounds like Issa has made a determination here BEFORE the investigation is completed.

Obama's immediate reaction to a confrontation is to make **** up and point elsewhere.
He just can't help it.
Huge personality flaw common with narcissist disorder.

Great. Perhaps that will put a stop to the George Bush stories or what Issa is alleged to have done when he was 18.

I agree the Issa stuff is silly.... the only reason Bush still gets discussed is that people want to spend time ascribing blame for the economy and wars.... If you want a real discussion of blame, then he is fair game; but if you just want to solve problems, including the economy and don't need to blame anyone, there is no reason to talk about Bush.

Of course your suggestion is a false equivalent as the tenor of much of the discussion is about how these investigations are going to bring Obama down, in essence, undo the last election in the form of a recall vote. Meanwhile the Cons have had more than 35 resolutions to repeal Obama care. There is big difference with discussing history (which is what gets talked about on this board) vs. spending time and money trying to undo history, which is what the Issa objective and 35+ house resolutions are attempting do to. If Congress wants to waste time and money investigating the Bush administration, I will be equivalently outraged.

Isn't that the indication?

I'm not a member of the GOP; I'm simply objecting to character assassination based on charges dropped against an 18-year old who is about to turn 60. It's weak sauce.

The whole republican party is "weak sauce"

Isn't that the indication?

Actually no. The fact is Elijah Cummings wants the entire transcripts released from the IRS interviews because he claims the all the facts will come out. Issa refuses to do so. If you can't see that Issa is setting up the republican party for a major fail on this issue.......

And these crackpots wonder why the republican party is the "stupid party"

U.S. Senator Conrad Burns of Montana charged that CREW was "maliciously false" and "partisan hacks" in calling him corrupt in 2005. The Billings Gazette reported that CREW defended itself:[30]
"We are progressive," said Naomi Seligman, the group's deputy director... "We do work within a larger progressive infrastructure." Seligman suggested her group is the progressive counterweight to Judicial Watch, a group from the right that calls itself "a non-profit, public interest law firm dedicated to fighting government corruption"... "We've gone after a fair number of Democrats, even in this study," Seligman said, [and Burns] "should be answering the charges, not slinging charges."

Bubba, you are still living in that make-believe world of yours ... Did you ever read Wright's entire sermon? BTW, Van Jones wasn't around very long ... remember, that witch hunt was successful .... Obama caves too quickly to the hate you guys traffic in too often ...

Yes I did read it.

Why was Jones there to begin with?

Obama will sonewall any problem that involves him directly. He's learned he can do that.

for the life of me I don't get why the GOP would put Issa in a position like that ... there call though ...

yeah, that's why he wasn't re-elected in 2012 ... HEY! WAIT A MINUTE! You're a tricky old dog Bubba ... he was re-elected in 2012! How do you do that? :naughty

Oh come on ... don't play that game ... you're better than that.

key word is "from Washington" you do realize the main IRS office is in Washington DC and the IRS is under the control of the executive branch of government
you need to be careful all that major reaching your doing will throw your back out

if you read it and still hold the same opinion, there's nothing I can do to help you ...

Jones was there because he was qualified and impressive as hell ...

You know that I'm not the biggest Obama fan, but the racism (he's not one of us, he's a Kenyan, he wasn't born here, he's the food stamp president, the cartoons, etc. ) he has faced, as Jackie Robinson had to, turns my stomach ... the irony is that you've blamed him for evrything under the sun, made up so much stuff, that when you have a legitimate point, no one believes you ... Does the boy who cried wolf ring a bell?

Bubba ... he won, he'll be president until January 2017, so this is all pretty silly, isn't it? you don't like the guy ... there's nothing he can do to change your mind ... I get it ...

of course I'm better than thAt, but when I address cons on these threads I'm always forced to bring it down a notch or two ...

68 percent believe that the White House isn’t telling the truth about the targeting of the president’s political enemies by the IRS. Just 24 percent believe the White House line that Team Obama neither directed nor was aware of the targeting.

all you scandal deniers are in a very small fringe club
looks like Issa believes the same thing as the vast majority of America believes
keep it up Issa America has your back
