But obviously there is nothing I can do about it, but a summary or transcript (if they were feeling transparent) would be nice.
So you're saying that any meeting that is of significant importance, according to you, should be public?

It's just a harmless little get together where world leaders can let down their hair and discuss whirled peas.

My guess is that the topics this year are terrorism, the EU's economy, and "how are we going to unload all these US bonds?"

...You didn't really answer the question there.

If the executives of Apple, Microsoft, Dell, Cisco, and Qualcomm held a two day meeting, it would certainly be of significant importance, in my mind at least. Would you say that what they talked about must be disclosed to the public? They can't have a private meeting?

They can, and they will. But you can bet on the media getting wind of it, though.

Yes, they can. And yes, they will. Do you think they should be allowed to have private meetings, though?

In my mind, the paradigm changes when heads of state/lawmakers are involved. If the top five Internet giants want a private meeting, that is different to me. But as soon as lawmakers and heads of state get involved, the dynamic changes entirely because of the power they yield over us. And again, going back, if the Bilderberg meeting is nothing but open-source, then the secrecy should be reduced.

    Okay.

Those internet giants hold significant sway, too, but okay. But why would it matter unless bargains were struck, which do become public record?

And again, going back, if the Bilderberg meeting is nothing but open-source, then the secrecy should be reduced.
You keep saying that, but there's nothing behind it other than you just saying it. I mean, you could say the same thing about our hypothetical internet meeting. But that doesn't make it true.

    Great.

Those would be your words, not mine. Where do they get the babies you're talking about?
