No, you just can't read. In the sentence immediately preceding that, I address, "people who parent when they didn't really want to."

You're the one who can't accept that some women have other goals in life without stooping to the petty baby killer mantra (and it's interesting how I'm a baby killer simply for not wanting to have children and being educated).

    You sound insecure, honestly.

I'm not the one raging all the time - your first post on this thread was some nonsense about "here goes another man claiming a woman's only value is in her vagina" - that's your reflexive response to anyone who thinks children are a blessing and mothers are wonderful - to you, motherhood is a wasted life or at least one not fully enjoyed - besides, I didn't say you were a "pretty baby killer" - those are your words - I said you promote the removal of what you call parasitic fetuses, organisms feeding off a woman's body and attempting to inflict mortal damage - are you changing your position - are they pretty babies to you now?

I'd just close by saying she who yells and rants loudest is usually the most insecure. I'm quite secure in who I am and what I represent, honestly!

You're calling me names, and I'm the one raging? Interesting.

Again, you can't read. I encourage parenthood in people who are personally dedicated and gifted for the role. I don't encourage it for people who have no desire to do it. And I don't encourage other people imposing themselves as the authority on what other peoples' value in life is.

I promote women having control over their reproductive lives.

Methinks thou doth protest too much.

Clarify for me - what name did I call you?

Secondly, I don't doubt that you discourage women "who have no desire to do it" from carrying a child to term - your encouragement doesn't extend to maybe helping someone who's confused or scared about being pregnant to think about the good things about being pregnant and having a child. I'm sure you're right in there banging the drum, telling them they're going to ruin their life if they have a child and ruin the child's life too. That's your schtick - you make it clear every time you make comments about women having children being valued only by their vaginas.

You say you "don't encourage other people imposing themselves as the authority on what other peoples' value in life" yet you do just that constantly by the contempt you show for anybody with a view differing from yours.

You're the one protesting - you did that the minute you entered this thread with your ignorant comment.

I discourage people choosing to parent out of pressure, when they have no desire to do it themselves. What they do when an accident happens is up to them, and I make a point of not suggesting a damn thing. At that point, there's more factors involved, and none of them are things I have any place offering my opinion on.

But then again, I suppose you'd know nothing of supporting women in these situations. I've been doing it for years.

How am I imposing that I know other people's value by saying people should do what they feel is right for themselves? I'm truly curious.

And how is commenting on an open thread in a public forum protesting?

Let's just say we agree to disagree and I assume that since you didn't mention anything, you've silently withdrawn your claim that I called you names.

I'm sure we'll discuss these matters again sometime - take care and have a good day.

No, I haven't. I just refuse to waste time battling your reading comprehension.

I don't agree to disagree either. What I've said is quite plain, and your attempts to twist it are dishonest.

I'll just point out that it applies to "he's" as much as it applies to "she's"

Hilarious, falsely accuse him of calling you names and then when caught in it you double down by doing it yourself. Nasty.

I am not sure I understand one slacking off and get more out of the other, but I believe in opportunity, and I believe in not counting folks out from trying. There are too many brilliant or even competent women out there, and it would be utter foolishness to push them toward one direction, simply out of some sort of somewhat misguided assumption about our own cultural history and its supposed inherent goodness.
