A lot of doctors are going to buck out of the system altogether and work completely privately on the side with a shared-cost group of families. My doctor has already discussed it with me, and we're in.
He's working on putting together a network of doctors and specialists to make it work.

It's still pretty ****ing expensive. Health insurance premiums should be more along the lines of homeowner's or auto insurance, which means it shouldn't be the same for everyone, but vary depending on the individual's situation and how many claims they make.
Less doctors / less educated doctors / less people wanting to become doctors = bad
What is ridiculous is that doctors are providing a service of paramount importance to society and are paid a fraction of what thousands of athletes who drop out of college to run around and play with a ball professionally are paid.
I know plenty of people like to file like S0, and get large refunds. Still, it isn't real to say he is only left with $3k after rent.
