A bushel of Pinocchios for IRS's Lois Lerner - The Washington PostIn fact, just two days before the ABA conference, Lerner appeared before Congress and was asked by Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) about the status of investigations into 501(c)(4) groups. She provided a bland answer about a questionnaire on the IRS Web site, failing to take the opportunity to disclose the results of the probe. (The clip is embedded below, with the question coming at 5:09.) Small wonder that Crowley is now calling for her to resign, saying that Lerner lied to him.

If this is what big government “Hope & Change” looks like, we’re in for some tough times ahead. Rather than getting fired by Obama for basically overseeing this scandal and lying to Congress about the status of what the IRS was up to, Lois Lerner gets promoted to a position where she’ll be in charge of IRS enforcement of Obama Care? When you screw up you get promoted? Where's the real accountability here?
This should scare the hell out progressives/liberals as much as it scares the rest of us. When are you going to be outraged by the lies and deceit? If no one in big government is ever held accountable for doing a crappy job, why do you want more big government?
