Well this is terribly confusing and rather demoralizing for my faith in law enforcement.

Don't know if the number of rapes are increasing or simply being reported more. I read somewhere that one in three female soldiers is raped now days by another military member.

We just recently had the news of the Army's anti-sexual assault coordinator of sexually assaulting a female in a parking lot. This past week we had a police officer here in my city arrested for sexual assault.

There have always been rapes but it seems we are finding that there is rising number of rapists that are not your typical meth addicts or politicians but respected educated males. It is rather sad.

What the heck is with that? Sixty Million? Why not just make it a billion?

According to court records, DeCoatsworth was arraigned Saturday night on charges including rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, trafficking of persons, false imprisonment and aggravated assault. His bail was set at $60 million.

I don't think I've ever heard of a bail that high...I wonder if it's a misprint.

Police said DeCoatsworth, 27, met two women at a party at an unknown location about 2 a.m. on Thursday. When the party ended, the women followed DeCoatsworth to another place – and then the situation took a disturbing turn.

DeCoatsworth allegedly pulled out a handgun and forced the women to do drugs and perform sex acts, police said. DeCoatsworth later left, and the women contacted police.

Law enforcement sources told the Daily News that DeCoatsworth was arrested about 6:30 a.m. inside a house on Almond Street near Somerset in Port Richmond.

The sources said DeCoatsworth held the women, whose names have not been released, against their will for two days.

DeCoatsworth was charged with rape, sexual assault, terroristic threats and related offenses.

Actually, I have to admit he sounds nuts.

As far as the military is concerned, there are more bogus claims being reported, plus, males and females are serving in much closer proximity than they were a few years ago. This is what happens when you allow women to work so closely to men and abolish DADT.

Am certain there are cases of bogus claims of rape but have not seen any information giving a percentage. I still got to believe the majority of women who go through the ordeal of reporting a rape are telling the truth.

Also am not buying just because you work closely with women you are more apt to rape them. I have been working with women my whole life and have not raped one yet, how about you?

All aboard the train to Realville.

From 2009 to 2012, the number of sexual abuse reports rose from 3,244 to 3,374 — a 4 percent increase.

During the same period, the number of what the Pentagon calls “unfounded allegations” based on completed investigations of those reports rose from 331 to 444 — a 35 percent increase.

You don't have to rape someone to get accused of sexual assault.

... you are aware that a logical implication of statement is that women shouldn't associate with male soldiers because the chances they will get raped are prohibitively high.
