I think he is probably worse. What Americans never ask themselves is why/how can a really 3rd rate place like Britain afford such a wellheeled monarchy and what is wrong with people there that they feel they have to..........................

Did he go to the WW2 Memorial, get on his knees and and pay homage to the men that save his title for him?

Why? GWB was born to great wealth, his unearned seat in Yale paid for, his undeserved seat in Harvard paid for, allowed to dodge his military obligation and was hustled through the back door into the White House.

Third rate? You might need to go to Mississippi or Detroit and convince some folks there that they can afford the Bush's.
Just curious- which countries would you call first rate?

He will do that as soon as an American president goes to Paris and thanks them on his knees for the existence of the US.

And even if he has, his stinking rich family takes about $60 million a year (to my knowledge) of British taxpayers money just to be figureheads.

BBC News - Taxpayer paying less to keep Royal Family

If they took that money and gave it to charity - that would do FAR more for British charities then anything they can raise.

And you know as well as I do that Royal men have virtually NO CHOICE - they have to serve in the military (or Prince Phillip would probably shame them to death)...so it's not like he volunteered (though the two tours part is a nice touch - assuming it was his idea).

I am not saying the guy is a scumbag or anything. He could indeed be a nice chap and an honorable fellow who is just naive to how the monarchy is a dinosaur.

But I need proof before I start calling him - or anyone - a 'class act'.
Below is a charity started by Prince Harry.

Sentebale (forget-me-not) is a new charity designed to help children and young people in Lesotho. The charity’s joint Founders and Patrons are Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and Prince Harry.

Sentebale will offer long-term support to community organisations working with children and young people, and in particular to those working with orphans and other vulnerable children.

In 2009, he co-founded The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry with his older brother Prince William. The Foundation’s three focuses are on giving guidance and support to disadvantaged young people, building awareness on sustainable developement and environmental conservation, and on the welfare of members of the Armed Forces and their families.

He continues to help fundraise for his mothers namesake chairy which is an independent grant-giving charity established in September 1997 to continue the Princess’s humanitarian work in the United Kingdom and overseas. Working to create a world in which the rights of the disadvantaged are respected by giving grants to organisations, championing charitable causes, campaigning and raising awareness.

Just a small handful of the charities Harry has founded and supports which have raised millions.

Ah don't pay some of these posters any mind, they are the Goldilock posters. They are never happy, to them everything is either too hard or too soft.

You see a post that a president went to a funeral of a fallen soldier and here comes a Goldilock to protest the president is just making a photop.
You see a post that a president didn't go to to a funeral of a fallen soldier and here comes a Goldilock to protest the president doesn't care about a dead soldier.

You see a non partisan post such as when Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter died and you would think who could bitch about that. Well, here came the Goldilocks in droves.

You can even find the Goldilocks at your local restaurant complaining and bitching about everything on their plate to some poor college student waitress.

I don't know if they weren't breastfed long enough as a baby but some people have always have to complain. Hence the name Goldilocks.

    Lordy.
The devil whispered in my ear, "You cannot withstand the storm." I whispered back, "I am the storm."
