Amanda Knox's stories dont match up once again.

BBC News - Amanda Knox and prison life

This time its her memoir in which she describes prison life as tough, inappropriate behaviour by staff, sexual passes and a humiliating medical exam etc. All of which of course doesn't match what she previously she at the time but hey it's not the first time she has changed previous statements for personal gains. Her interview on American television was interesting to say the least as she wants to change the image often portrayed in the media so the most obvious way to do this is to cash in....

Do you think there is a possibility that she knew her letters in prison would/could be read by Italian officials so she self-edited her comments in them for her own well-being? Kind of like I think it was the Gary Powers guy who had to use Morse code while blinking to let people know he was being tortured even as his words said otherwise.

Her case demonstrates that while the American criminal justice system has many problems, it is still far better than most other places. The Knox case showed how incredibly pathetic the Italian system was-at least for this one case.

That was actually former Senator Jeremiah Denton: Francis Gary Powers was not tortured by the USSR.

I actually read a lot about the case just before she was acquitted and she actually did say the stuff about prison life being though, sexual harassment, et al. before.

Also, I doubt she's trying to "change" her image by doing that interview. Her image isn't particularly bad in the United States. It's just bad in Europe where apparently ****ty evidence passes for guilty nowadays.

EDIT: Although, now that I think, she may have said it right after she got home - not when she was in Italy - and her mother may have relayed that info to the media. I can't remember. Either way, this isn't the first time she said it.

The above thought is about all I can muster regarding this case.

I really have no idea one way or the other regarding her innocence or guilt in the case.
In that regard, I'd probably be a perfect selection for the jury.

if she isn't trying to change her image then why go on national television and give an interview? Why not just try and move on?

She was promoting her book - the book that came with an advance she's used to pay her attorney fees.

I have no doubt that that's how a British person would choose to reduce her actions, LOL.
