Support for Obamacare Nosedives

Overall, just 35 percent have a favorable view of Obamacare while 40 percent have an unfavorable view, which ties an October 2011 poll for the lowest level ever.

I am not surprised, after all 58% of Americans were against it when it was first passed and the Democrats had to resort to bribes, threats and the whip just to get fellow Democrats to vote for it. The Democrats paid the price for going against the will of the American people in 2010. If this things boondoggles after it is fully implemented come January of next year, the Democrats could be looking at another 2010. I read where Reid has all ready started to blame the Republicans if the ACA does become a boondoggle. There are a couple of other polls on the ACA, Rassmussen is showing 46% of Americans want it repealed, down from the 58% when it was passed and 41% are against repeal. But this is up only 2 points from the 39% that supported ACA when it was first passed. I suspect the big drop among those who want it repealed is probably they decided repeal isn't about to happened regardless of what the American people want or wish.

I agree, as long as Obama is president and the Dems control the Senate repeal isn't about to happen. I don't care if the ACA ends up being the biggest train wreck in the history of the United States, it won't be repealed unless and somehow the Reps can win 60 seats in the senate and gain the presidency. The Democrats have been trying to get national health care since FDR and they aren't going to let a little fact that it doesn't work stand in their way of keeping it.

But having said these, none of knows if the train wreck will be come a reality or not until January of 2014. then the voters will have ten months to make up their mind on whom to vote for in November for control of the senate.

"nosedives" is not exactly what is happening here, but then lets consider the source. (BTW, why don't you consider the source and lead with articles from more credible websites? A real news organization would not title the article "....support nosedives..." as it is a gross mis-characterization of the facts, but that's not the point). Yes, less people have a favorable opinion of it. Also, but not in the headline, less people have an unfavorable opinion of it. More and more people just don't know (but that doesn't make a good headline on CNS).

As an employer of 60 people in the health care industry, I believe "I do not know" is the intelligent response to Obamacare at this moment. It is a complicated and watered down piece of legislation. Substantially all of those that can tell you with certainty that it is a good thing or tell you with certainty that it is a bad thing are ignorant, disingenuous or not particularly bright (get their talking points from other sources).

BTW... favorable or unfavorable is really moot at this point as it is the law of the land and it ain't going away.
