I'm highly skeptical of the story because it's fox's bread and butter. and yes, many of the story's proponents act like truthers. as for the rest of your freak out, no.

incorrect. I'm not unable to admit when I'm wrong. if Benghazi turns out to be a legitimate Watergate-style conspiracy, I will return to this thread and acknowledge it as such.
 
I find it interesting that, although the Fox News story is credible on its face (easily verifiable facts reported rather than an opinion piece), Googling comes up with few carries of this story.

Since I believe the story to be true, my question is: Why is no other major news source covering it?

Especially with how badly the reps in congress have attempted to lie and blow this whole thing way out of proportion? I have never had anything top do with benghazi but if they called me into congress to testify on it I would have about 50 lawyers and I would be to be trying to communicate across the void with johnny cochrane.

But maybe you republican truthers will be right this time with your crazy. Maybe this time you will discover the proof you need to let mittens win the election. I am quite sure america is totally going to forgive congress for another huge waste of time on this issue because everything is now fixed like the economy and the wars we are in, and there are no real issues to discuss. No feel free to go wandering down that road again, I am sure it will work this time and not make reps seem like petty little fools who are overly focussed on pointless and irrelevant issues because a black man become president.

Its a pretty new story, and to be fair, theres no real evidence yet. However, this attny person is real. It shouldnt be hard for CNN to call her up. BUt we know that the MSM hasnt been reporting on this story much the entire time.

Myself, I believe it is due to the fact that if they did cover it like they do most other things. Then there would be all this introspection. Then all the guesstimating and looking at any hypotheticals. Imagine CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, all covering each and every incident.

Which then would bring in anything else that correlates to the incident in Benghazi. Such as the Sunny Cleric in Egypt who used social media to get 23 Muslims countries to rise up and protests us all on the anniversary of 911. Which would then bring up all that took place inside Egypt with that Sunny Cleric telling his followers to Riot the Egyptian Embassy.

Introspection would also rehash what Obama was doing. Nailing down timelines even more than they are now. With all involved and including underlings.

Course then we would have to delve into why Stevens was meeting with a Turkish Envoy inside Libya when the Turks had pulled their Ambassador out of the Country when Gadhafi was still round. That he was meeting him prior to the attack. That would open up a whole can of worms since Clinton testified we went after Gadhafi's stored weapons and Manpads. While Miraculously the week before the attack a Libyan freighter shows up off the Coast of Syria. Than all of a sudden ta-da. The Syrian Rebels have Manpads.

One could lose one's seat in the WH press briefing room, among other things. Access is viewed as nearly everything by the media. Just a guess, of course.

Easy question for ya ... What's stopping the Benghazi survivors from speaking out to stop all this coverup talk?

they were interviewed; my guess is that the info is still classified. CBS is suing to get access to the documents, apparently, so i suppose we'll find out.

occasionally yellow journalism breaks a story (such as the Enquirer / John Edwards story.) as i said before, if this turns out to be a sinister watergate scandal that brings down an administration, i'll come back to this thread and admit that i was wrong. my guess is that the boy who cried wolf is still just crying wolf, however.

i don't watch fox, so i don't really know or care. when journalists start covering the story, i'll certainly read the articles.

Our President just said he's not familiar with the notion that anyone has been blocked from testifying ... do you believe him?
 
In a press conference just now Obama was asked about this and he said he didnt know anything about people being blocked from testifying. Is it reasonable to expect that Obama would have been told about these whistleblowers?
