Time will tell... but the Family has issues with honesty. The nation knows that. But... she does have a vagina going for her. Perhaps that's the D's ticket this time.

Why would any human being make such a sick comment?

Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe I should have flagged that comment, but I'm a big 1st Amendment supporter.

People who 'think' like zimmer are a big part of the reason why the GOP lost last November and will continue to lose in the future until it is reduced to a minor, regional, party.

    Don't think so?

    Wait and see.

No one can stop time and/or change.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Monday that despite the criticism he's taken from some on the right for his embrace of President Barack Obama following Superstorm Sandy, the popular Republican wouldn't have done anything differently.

Appearing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on the six-month anniversary of Sandy, Christie was asked by host Joe Scarborough if he regrets his bipartisan response to the storm, which battered the Northeast a week before last year's election.

"No. No," the normally outspoken Christie said.

Christie then elaborated, saying he wasn't concerned about the presidential election in the immediate aftermath of Sandy.

"I say the same thing to all my critics, no matter where they are on the spectrum, that is I've got a job to do. And the fact is there was nothing else that ever crossed my mind in the days after," Christie said. "You wake up on Tuesday, October 30th, 7 million of your 8.8 million citizens out of power, there's not a school opened, not a water treatment or waste water treatment plant is operational. Fifty-one gas stations in the whole state are open. You're not sitting there worrying about presidential politics, Joe."

Christie said that while he was a supporter of 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney — and disagrees with Obama virtually across the board — he has to tip his hat to the President's response to Sandy.

Christie sounds like he lets honesty and integrity get in the way of being partisan.

It used to work in politics, but I think it might be considered a bit old fashioned now.
Every political good carried to the extreme must be productive of evil.

Unfortunately there are too many people on both sides of the the aisle who put their party ahead of their country, state, and etc.

I don't know that we'll ever see the end of that kind of attitude.

    But I'll never stop hoping.

Then why does my state have 11bn in its paying capacity just for hurricanes?

Florida gets hit by a hurricane nearly every year. Between 1851 and 2009, Florida was hit by 114 hurricanes, including 44 Cat1's. New Jersey was hit by a total of 2 hurricanes (both Cat1).

NJ and NY haven't seen a hurricane like Sandy in almost 100 years. It doesn't make sense for NJ to set aside $20 billion for those kinds of events.

By the way, Florida's hurricane fund is currently short by $12.5 billion, and considering, wait for it... a federally funded backstop. (Florida Looks to Restructure Its Hurricane Fund; Federal Option Proposed) The other solution is to reduce -- oh, sorry, "right-size" -- the catastrophe fund. I don't think increasing taxes is on the table.

Not to mention that Gov Scott did try to get a "mere" $29 million in federal funds for Isaac. FEMA declined, saying Florida could handle the costs on its own. Unsurprisingly, Florida pols protested.

Current polls are meaningless. I do not believe either Biden or Hillery will be the Democrats nominee for 2016. I would look for new faces for both parties.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

What I meant was Christie would have a good chance of winning if he was nominated by the Republicans, but probably won't be because he got long with Obama so well.
