Benghazi Bombshell Drops On Obama, Hillary

I think there's a cover-up on Benghazi because they were engaged in some kind of deal over there, and don't want to reveal it. Probably something similar to Iran-Contra. Why else would they have a CIA office in that dump?

Is there any evidence besides a hunch to verify this? And even if we are engaged in some kind of clandestine deal, is that necessarily a bad thing? The reaction to the attack on the embassy sounds to me like people are trying to find malicious intent in the administration not reinforcing the embassy. I really don't think people act like that. Nor do I think that there was anything to differentiate the Lybian embassy's requests from anyone else's. I just don't see what anyone realistically expects to discover, nor how it would apparently prove that the president is some kind of traitor. It's difficult for me to understand why this (admittedly tragic) incident warranted this much attention.

It's amusing to watch people go back and forth about who said what when where. All missing the big picture. The reason they are dead is because we bombed Libya, period. End of discussion.

Not true...they are dead because of the movie. Didn't you pay attention?

Not being a socialist or a radical leftist I usually ignore Media Matters. So I never went to the link.

In other words you don't go to places that challenge your partisan beliefs.

I have worked somewhere in the federal govt since about 1980. Never once have I seen whatever enitity I work for not ask for more money, more people, more vehicles, more material, more police, more everything all the time.

I have stories of wastefulness during my time in the military you would not believe. The mindset being, "what you don't use you lose," I have seen material discarded and, well, I've probably already said too much. You get the picture.

Not if they are financed and supported by George Soros.

It goes beyond my personal morals but our national ethics as an American.

I suggest you stick with Fox News, and you might want to throw in a little Alex Jones now and then to spice it up a bit.

Why does it have to prove he is traitor.....how about just that he dropped the ball. Was to busy Campaigning. Bottomline.....wasn't governing. Is it a crime? No! Does it prove Obama aint worth Spit as leader. Yes!

See, to me that just proves that he's not perfect, which no one who exists outside of Clint Eastwood's brain thinks he is. Mistakes happen, and they're deadly mistakes when you have as much responsibility as a United States president. But nobody can be everywhere and dealing with everything at once. I don't see what would be out of the ordinary about the request for more security at this one embassy compared to the many other such requests that were also not granted. If you want to argue that there should generally be more security at embassies, or even just embassies in the Middle East, that's fine. I don't disagree. But none of that suggests impropriety or negligence on the part of the administration.

I wish I could afford to drive a Benghazi. :(

Maybe not impropriety but I would have to disagree on the negligence. Its' not like any would want anything to go wrong while they are on Watch. While I am sure Obama wasn't hoping the Country got hit. IMO he just wasn't as focused as he should have been. Since it was his narrative that was driving the war on terror.

It was negligent to think that you could bomb a country, destroy their government including military and police forces, and NOT expect the security situation to deteriorate.

In fact, you might call it downright retarded.

Then there is Dan Rather.

9/11/01 Al Qaeda attacks the USA on it's own soil. America is at war.

Fast track to 2003, Bush invades Iraq and the Muslim world craps it's pants. In fact all of America's enemies are scared crappless of G.W. Bush

One of those enemies is Omar Qaddfi. Qaddafi decides to get out of the terrorism business and secretly contacts the USA. Qaddafi want to become an ally with the USA and defeat Al Qaeda. Qadaffi agrees to destroy all of his WMD's and dismantle his nuclear R&D project.

Since the CIA was no longer allowed to use enhanced interrogation to prevent terrorist attacks on America, Qaddafi agrees to have the CIA to turn over captured suspected Al Qaeda members for enhanced interrogation by Qaddafi's intelligence service.

Unknown to most of the world Libya has become an ally of the USA.

Fast track 2009. Obama becomes POTUS. Obama ordered the CIA not to capture Al Qaeda to gather intelligence. Probably because Obama promised to close down GITMO and didn't want to keep adding more terrorist to GITMO's population.

Fast track to 2012. CIA sends up a red flag because no Al Qaeda are being captured and interrogated, intelligence is drying up on Al Qaeda. That all of the intelligence that the Obama administration has been using was gathered during the Bush administration.

Fast track a few more months. The Frogs want regime change in Libya. Maybe because they want a better contract for Libyan oil. The Frogs decide to make it a NATO issue. NATO runs out of bombs and need help from Obama. Obama decides since we no longer capture Al Qaeda to find out what they are planning, Obama ignores the War Powers Act and wages an illegal war to throw another ally under the bus.

Qaddafi is captured and raped and then murdered.

Fast track to 9/11/12. Al Qaeda militia now operating in Libya attack the American consulate in Benghazi and Obama does nothing while four Americans fight for their lives and are eventually killed.

Hillary Clinton's e-mails ->Hillary Clinton's 'hacked' Benghazi emails: FULL RELEASE ? RT USA

The second dump of Hillary's e-mails -> Guccifer releases second trove of Clinton emails ? RT USA

You forgot the part about why Al Qaeda attacked the United States in the first place -- because of our imperialist foreign policy which continues to this day. Iraq was the most obvious example of that foreign policy, but actually it's been going on for over 50 years.

See, that's a legit criticism, though definitely not reaching the level of negligence. But that's a far cry from "not worth spit as a leader". That just means slightly different priorities. I think the whole incident could have been used as a serious discussion about foreign policy, security, and the war on terror, but instead it became a desperate move by Republicans to manufacture a scandal in time for the election. Let's not waste any more time on this fake scandal, and talk about what we ought to do about the war on terror.

Are you kidding? People are still talking about that botched call between Green Bay and Seattle last year that cost Green Bay the game.

If you got nothin', you gotta hang on to something.

But you gotta admit. This Benghazi hoopla has come and gone in as many news cycles. But some people hang on like Pitt-Bulls.

Much adoo about nothing perhaps but who doesn't like to see a pitt-bull swung around by his teeth while clenching on a rope?

I didn't forget about anything. I know exactly why Osama bin Laden got his panties all wadded up. We had F-15's and American boots on Saudi Arabia soil. (sand)

But the real reason why Bin Laden signed off on attacking America on it's own soil is explained in Osama bin Laden's first Fatwa. I wonder how many Americans have actually read it ? It's all there. Bin Laden believed America was a paper tiger and that he could get away with taking down the WTC, Pentagon and what ever the other target would have been. Bin Laden thought that G.W. Bush was just another pantywaist like Bill Clinton. Guess what ? Bin Laden was wrong.

But I digress, it all goes back when the U.S. Army requested armor in Somalia and President Clinton denied the request. What followed would be remembered as "Black Hawk Down." The rest is history.

Excerpt from Osama bin Laden's 1996 Fatwa:

>" But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia; where- after vigorous propaganda about the power of the USA and its post cold war leadership of the new world order- you moved tens of thousands of international force, including twenty eight thousands American solders into Somalia. However, when tens of your solders were killed in minor battles and one American Pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you. Clinton appeared in front of the whole world threatening and promising revenge , but these threats were merely a preparation for withdrawal. You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew; the extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear. It was a pleasure for the "heart" of every Muslim and a remedy to the "chests" of believing nations to see you defeated in the three Islamic cities of Beirut , Aden and Mogadishu.

I say to Secretary of Defence: The sons of the land of the two Holy Places had come out to fight against the Russian in Afghanistan, the Serb in Bosnia-Herzegovina and today they are fighting in Chechenia and -by the Permission of Allah- they have been made victorious over your partner, the Russians. By the command of Allah, they are also fighting in Tajakistan. ... There's a whole lot more but it was Somalia that led to 9/11 -> Bin Laden's Fatwa | PBS NewsHour | Aug. 23, 1996 | PBS

I'm trying to understand the logic of the brainwashed, it's fascinating to me. I have read the entire Fatwa. The most interesting part to me is the fact that you were able to somehow mentally block the entire crux of his message, which made up the bulk of the entire speech, and weed out a tiny little fraction at the very bottom that only vaguely and remotely seems to confirm your worldview (on the surface, if viewed in a vacuum, without context). How did you do that? My mind works differently so I'm trying to understand. For me when I read something I try to understand the message or whatever point they are trying to make, then I analyze their reasons and motivations, etc. It's amazing to me how you could read the exact same material as me and come up with something completely different. They've done studies on this, on how partisans read the same newspaper and see different things. The mind of a partisan is truly fascinating to me.

Bin Laden said:
It should not be hidden from you that the people of Islam had suffered from aggression, iniquity and injustice imposed on them by the Zionist-Crusaders alliance and their collaborators; to the extent that the Muslims blood became the cheapest and their wealth as loot in the hands of the enemies. Their blood was spilled in Palestine and Iraq. The horrifying pictures of the massacre of Qana, in Lebanon are still fresh in our memory. Massacres in Tajakestan, Burma, Cashmere, Assam, Philippine, Fatani, Ogadin, Somalia, Erithria, Chechnia and in Bosnia-Herzegovina took place, massacres that send shivers in the body and shake the conscience. All of this and the world watch and hear, and not only didn't respond to these atrocities, but also with a clear conspiracy between the USA and its' allies and under the cover of the iniquitous United Nations, the dispossessed people were even prevented from obtaining arms to defend themselves.

The people of Islam awakened and realised that they are the main target for the aggression of the Zionist-Crusaders alliance. All false claims and propaganda about "Human Rights" were hammered down and exposed by the massacres that took place against the Muslims in every part of the world.

The latest and the greatest of these aggressions, incurred by the Muslims since the death of the Prophet (ALLAH'S BLESSING AND SALUTATIONS ON HIM) is the occupation of the land of the two Holy Places -the foundation of the house of Islam, the place of the revelation, the source of the message and the place of the noble Ka'ba, the Qiblah of all Muslims- by the armies of the American Crusaders and their allies. (We bemoan this and can only say: "No power and power acquiring except through Allah").

Under the present circumstances, and under the banner of the blessed awakening which is sweeping the world in general and the Islamic world in particular, I meet with you today. And after a long absence, imposed on the scholars (Ulama) and callers (Da'ees) of Islam by the iniquitous crusaders movement under the leadership of the USA; who fears that they, the scholars and callers of Islam, will instigate the Ummah of Islam against its' enemies as their ancestor scholars-may Allah be pleased with them- like Ibn Taymiyyah and Al'iz Ibn Abdes-Salaam did. And therefore the Zionist-Crusader alliance resorted to killing and arresting the truthful Ulama and the working Da'ees (We are not praising or sanctifying them; Allah sanctify whom He pleased). They killed the Mujahid Sheikh Abdullah Azzaam, and they arrested the Mujahid Sheikh Ahmad Yaseen and the Mujahid Sheikh Omar Abdur Rahman (in America).

By orders from the USA they also arrested a large number of scholars, Da'ees and young people - in the land of the two Holy Places- among them the prominent Sheikh Salman Al-Oud'a and Sheikh Safar Al-Hawali and their brothers; (We bemoan this and can only say: "No power and power acquiring except through Allah"). We, myself and my group, have suffered some of this injustice ourselves; we have been prevented from addressing the Muslims. We have been pursued in Pakistan, Sudan and Afghanistan, hence this long absence on my part. But by the Grace of Allah, a safe base is now available in the high Hindukush mountains in Khurasan ; where--by the Grace of Allah-the largest infidel military force of the world was destroyed. And the myth of the super power was withered in front of the Mujahideen cries of Allahu Akbar (God is greater). Today we work from the same mountains to lift the iniquity that had been imposed on the Ummah by the Zionist-Crusader alliance, particularly after they have occupied the blessed land around Jerusalem, route of the journey of the Prophet (ALLAH'S BLESSING AND SALUTATIONS ON HIM) and the land of the two Holy Places. We ask Allah to bestow us with victory, He is our Patron and He is the Most Capable.

From here, today we begin the work, talking and discussing the ways of correcting what had happened to the Islamic world in general, and the Land of the two Holy Places in particular. We wish to study the means that we could follow to return the situation to its' normal path. And to return to the people their own rights, particularly after the large damages and the great aggression on the life and the religion of the people. An injustice that had affected every section and group of the people; the civilians, military and security men, government officials and merchants, the young and the old people as well as schools and university students. Hundred of thousands of the unemployed graduates, who became the widest section of the society, were also affected.

Injustice had affected the people of the industry and agriculture. It affected the people of the rural and urban areas. And almost every body complain about something. The situation at the land of the two Holy places became like a huge volcano at the verge of eruption that would destroy the Kufr and the corruption and its' sources. The explosion at Riyadh and Al-Khobar is a warning of this volcanic eruption emerging as a result of the sever oppression, suffering, excessive iniquity, humiliation and poverty.

People are fully concerned about their every day livings; every body talks about the deterioration of the economy, inflation, ever increasing debts and jails full of prisoners. Government employees with limited income talk about debts of ten thousands and hundred thousands of Saudi Riyals . They complain that the value of the Riyal is greatly and continuously deteriorating among most of the main currencies. Great merchants and contractors speak about hundreds and thousands of million Riyals owed to them by the government. More than three hundred forty billions of Riyal owed by the government to the people in addition to the daily accumulated interest, let alone the foreign debt. People wonder whether we are the largest oil exporting country?! They even believe that this situation is a curse put on them by Allah for not objecting to the oppressive and illegitimate behaviour and measures of the ruling regime: Ignoring the divine Shari'ah law; depriving people of their legitimate rights; allowing the American to occupy the land of the two Holy Places; imprisonment, unjustly, of the sincere scholars. The honourable Ulamah and scholars as well as merchants, economists and eminent people of the country were all alerted by this disastrous situation.

He had a dangerous job. He knew he had a dangerous job. He wants more security and she said no. She gets asked for more security a lot.

Soldiers want better guns and armor they don't get. Old people want free prescriptions. Thus isn't a scandal it is just a tragedy.

Who else has asked for more security and been ignored?

And of course this isn't about better guns and free prescriptions.

it was a preventable tragedy.

It has been 30 years ago but it seems to me if someone signed something that the authority came from the CO you singed it By Direction of the Commanding officer ______________________ then you sign it. But really, no one person could sign or read a million emails.

She said it was that many, but that's rather doubtful.

What's the point of writing if no one reads the mail? Maybe 500,000 of those emails were from Benghazi asking for help.

This woman reached her peak when she was first lady, and she only demonstrated at the hearing what Bill taught her,.

He was doing his duty. No one has ever said it is not a big deal. He sounds like he was a good man doing his duty for his cournty. damn shame fox politicized it in this way.

Yes, they should have just ignored it rather than getting political and all.

As far as I know she said she wasn't aware of a request from that embassy for increased security. That is not the same thing as her knowing that the budget had been cut on embassy security in general. One request came from other sections of government, decreasing the budget and lessening security (something very popular amongst Republicans before the attack occurred) and another cam from the actual embassy. It seems like you are talking about them together and confusing the issue.

If they couldn't provide security because of budget cuts why didn't they just close up shop like the British did and save more money and not risk lives?

Re: partisans

I don't represent the GOP. The last time I was on the RNC payroll was in the 1980's during the Reagan administration. I talk for no one, I don't represent any conservatives or talk for them. I only represent myself. My opinions and political ideology are mine and only mine.

I've seen some on this forum label me as a "political hack" and they are clueless what a political hack is. If I were a political hack, my wallet would be thicker than it is.

Your reading and comprehending why Bin Laden declared war on America. I pointed out where bin Laden believed he could get aweay with attacking America on it's own soil. We were already at war with Al Qaeda before the first Fatwa. The first Fatwa just made it a legal declaration of war.

Remember, President Clinton declared that Al Qaeda wasn't a national security issue but a law enforcement issue.

As for Bin Laden, he was a loony nut case.

In hindsight I wish we captured Bin Laden instead of killing him. If I were POTUS and Bin Laden was captured I would have ordered that Bin Laden be water boarded five times per day just around prayer time just for the fun of it.

I know something about fighting Islamist fanatics. Islam only respects the sword. And the only way you can subdue these Islamist extremest is with a bigger sword. Islam respects those who know how to use that sword better than them. I never fought and killed a Muslim on the battlefield, only Communist/socialist.

Only two countries have ever won a war against Islamist fanatics on the battlefield, Great Britain and the USA. America did it during the Philippine Insurrection when fighting the Muslim Moro's. And how we defeated them isn't pretty and that's why you will not find it in the history books. Like most history, history is written from documents, interviews and personal diaries and journals that were kept by those during the time your researching.

The history of defeating the Moro's in the P.I.'s is rarely touched by historians because it's so disturbing. Even revisionist historians rarely touch it. But how we did it is only found in the personal journals and diaries of the American soldiers and Marines who fought that war and the letters they sent home.

Lets just say your not going to defeat Islamist terrorist, fanatics or Jihad soldiers with political correctness.

Do you know what Bin Laden was expecting after 9/11 ? He was expecting that G.W. Bush would have launched a hundred Tomahawk cruise missiles and if we knew that he (Bin Laden) had some non combatant civilians near him he wouldn't be targeted. After launching the cruise missiles Bin Laden figured he would just become the FBI's problem. Remember that President Clinton had his chance to take out Bin Laden and ordered the military to stand down because Clinton was scared of collateral deaths of civilians.
