Why, would you say that. Assualt weapons ban.....lost. Magazine.....lost. Feinstein bill thrown to the Side and a loss.. Now McConnell has stated he will Filibuster any Cloture motion by Reid. The House refuse to look at anything unless it is about the Mental Health issue.....so another Loss.

Its a great idea that the FLOTUS would help out with some kids afterschool programs.....but do you think rather than give that money to private groups or raise funds thru city and private funds. That they could take that 50 Million and hire some more cops?

Arm themselves and fight back? The solution to violence isn't more violence. She's trying to discuss the causes of violence. And she's right, the circumstances these kids grow up in make it very, very hard to grow up safe and healthy. You can rant and rave about "personal responsibility" and "empowering," but I have another term for what you're doing: plugging your ears and hoping the problem goes away. People grow up in a society, and it takes a society to solve major problems like this. You know what you just interpreted that to mean? "See, libruls want the government to do everything for us!" Sure buddy. Go back to listening to Limbaugh.

Peace can only be achieved through greater strength and being so good at fighting that none dare challenge you. It cannot be achieved by sitting around eating tofu singing Kum-ba-ya.

BTW, I am not right wing. It is simple logic that if you want to end the killing, then kill the killers. No more killers, no more killing.

Yesterday the First Lady gave a speech in Chicago about guns, obviously her forte. In the speech she compared herself to Hadiya Pendleton who was shot just a week after performing at the inauguration. Mrs. Obama said, “Hadiya Pendleton was me, and I was her”.

"And as I visited with the Pendleton family at Hadiya’s funeral, I couldn’t get over how familiar they felt to me. Because what I realized was Hadiya’s family was just like my family.
