Well that's certainly a convenient argument. You get to ignore the fact production has increased while still getting to make your claim Obama hates fossil fuels. In this way, you actually get to argue something which appears to be false, and yet still feel like you're in the right.

I admire your argument, even as I find it to be lacking in many ways.

I'm sure it's probably not right, but when I see you post Bobby Jindal and quote a source which freely admits to be a conservative media outlet, I really don't take the time to read what you post. Could you find something which would be a little less biased? I'll be happy to read then.
I never said "Obama hates fossil fuels." I said the Obama White House is hostile to fossil fuels, and increased oil production does not refute this, for all the reasons already given in the thread.

And the Obama White House's hostility has also been aptly demonstrated in the thread. I see no reason to repeat it.

U.S. Field Production of Crude Oil (Thousand Barrels)
Pretty much in spite of Obama, that's for sure. He's shut down drilling on Federal lands, shut down the Keystone pipeline, got the EPA working on shutting down fracking, and pretty much done everything he can to suppress oil production.

It's thanks to President Carter that we now have the technology to drill hard-to-get reserves. His Department of Energy began research in fracking. Which of course Reagan -- that boob -- cut.
