OMG, Joss Stone is one of my favorite singers! I'm glad these sickos didn't succeed in their plot. Why the @#$% would anyone want to kill her?

Joss Stone Murder Plot: Junior Bradshaw, Kevin Liverpool Convicted Of Plotting To Kill Singer

LONDON -- A British jury convicted two men on Wednesday of plotting to rob and kill soul singer Joss Stone.
Junior Bradshaw, 32, and Kevin Liverpool, 35, were found guilty at Exeter Crown Court on charges of conspiracy to murder, to cause grievous bodily harm and to rob. They had denied the charges.
Liverpool was given a life sentence and ordered to serve a minimum of 10 years and eight months. Bradshaw will be sentenced at a later date.
"You intended to rob her and kill her and dump her body in the river, according to your words, and then leave the country with your accomplice Junior Bradshaw," said Judge Francis Gilbert in sentencing Liverpool.
After the verdict, Grammy award-winner Stone expressed gratitude for support and kind wishes during the ordeal.

They should be promptly executed in the most inhumane way possible, NOBODY should conspire to kill Joss Stone.

Word! By the way, who is Joss Stone and why would someone desire to kill him/her/it/them?

I figured this one out. Imagine if taylor swift started pretending she was janice and got some R&B backup singers to do the shoop behind her while she gyrates on the stage for all the fappers. Pretty much preppy peppy little blond hottie singing the blues.

You forgot to mention she has the best legs ever.

Okay. Maybe if she started "dating" every guy who is famous for a week like Taylor she would be more famous. Nobody should try to sing like Janice Joplin--they will never pull it off.

She doesn't try to sing like Joplin. Her style is way different. She did cover Joplin's "Cry Baby" at the 2005 tribute to Joplin's life. Melissa Ethridge covered "Piece of My Heart" at that same event. I found the footage:

So, no, Joss ain't Janice. She has her own voice and it's a great one.

Well when you are singing one of her songs you invite the comparison I suppose. On a side note, I would totally become a lesbian for Melissa Etheridge.

I'm glad that neither Etheridge nor Stone attempted to imitate Joplin's style, but instead sang the songs in their own way. That was the best way to do a good tribute to Joplin.

Btw, this story was also reported by NBC, ABC, CBS, the BBC, the Washington Post, the Chicago Sun Times the CBC, and Fox. It's refreshing to know that the mainstream media (of which the Huffington Post clearly belongs) takes this threat to Miss Stone's life seriously. Here are some other links to other mainstream media sources on the story. Here are the links to the story in all those other news sources:

Anyone trying to sound like Jaice Joplin would have to smoke 17 packs of cigarettes a day.
