Don't know him. Don't particularly care one way or another. I would prefer he actually act like man who still has his balls, unlike the rest of the Republican party. Its seems the women in the GOP have more nuts and testosterone than the men. They must dosing the water with estrogen of those pathetic GOP losers. A bunch pathetic winey bitches the lot of em. Personally if he and every other GOP representative were replaced tomorrow I would throw a party.

Which he also knows what has been in the news with Immigration reform. Going on a local Radio Show doesn't mean he wont get noticed and he knew that also.

He is a House member.....and even tho Boehner admonished him. I think he should have the mark upon his record so to speak. A reprimand that goes on his public record for all to see.

The term "wetback" is a pejorative term that has been used to describe workers from Latin American countries who swim across the Rio Grande to reach the United States.....snip~

So are we to believe that when they are describing workers from Latin American Countries who are swimming across the Rio Grande to reach the US.....that they are to be considered Legal?

Is there suppose to be some type of play on terminology? So now how does her assessment speak volumes?

That was the origin of the term. At no time in my lifetime has it strictly referred to illegals.

That may be true.....yet weren't you doubting the validity of the status? Liz said that they should have been called Illegal Immigrants. Which it appears was based on the assessment of them coming from Latin American countries. Which was stated that they were swimming across the Rio Grande. So I doubt they could be termed legal. Or be construed as anything else.

Also I don't think we had a Guest Worker Visa Program wherein masses of people from Latin America would use swimming the Rio Grande as their Prime means of transportation to get here and or to go back home.

Like myself she didn't think this putz should have used the racial slur. I still think the House members should have to give these Politicians Written and Verbal Reprimands. Like In the Military and that they should be Publicly Admonished on the Floor of the House. Regardless of their apologies.

Yea I have ate tomatoes and lots of them. You assume that I or my family bought them from "coyotes" or their ilk. I live in California, means I can grow them too. They are not hard to grow either. And believe it or not, all the farm labor around here is NOT exclusively or even majority unlawful. That would be the construction trades. Its easier work than farm work.

Unlawful aliens are thieves. Plain and simple. And the people they steal from are the families that come here legally and been doing so for generations. Before you bring your holier than thou save the unlawful aliens bs ya might wanna consider that the LEGAL immigrants might not want them here either. It hurts their livelihood. Big time. Just because they be Hispanic don't mean they all think the same way or think they be oppressed. You think I don't like unlawful aliens you should hear the legal immigrants, they'll burn your ears off. Unlawful aliens are the cause of a lot of problems, a lot which directly affect the lawful immigrant community very negatively. You should talk to some sometime. It might surprise you more than a little.

Gracias, mis amigos ... then Rand Paul addresses a group of Latino businessmen and reads them a Pablo Neruda poem (btw, I wonder if Paul knows that Neruda was a communist and advisor to socialist president Allende?) ...

but if you're not a GOP fan, Dicky is a godsend, as are Karl and Sarah ... and let's not forget Rush and the body-shuts-down-during-rape guys, and the vaginal probe and voter suppression guys too! The Dems should have a special dinner honoring them.

I agree. I think Republicans should continue calling Mexican migrants wetbacks...as they should call Blacks n-words and women sluts and gays homos.

Not Mexican migrants, ILLEGAL Mexican immigrants. They are wetbacks, and that's not a racial/ethnic slur. This isn't a party issue. There really are just as many racist Democrats as there are Republicans.
 
It's like how Hispanics refer to foreigners in their country (mainly American foreigners) as "Gringo". It's a slang term, but not necessarily a slur. It's only a racial/ethnic slur if used in a hateful context.
