There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers
Early voting in Georgia. On the 20th of October this old Goldwater conservative voted against both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton by casting my vote for Gary Johnson. Neither Trump or Clinton belong within a million miles of the Oval Office.
I wonder if she gets elected she will actually work the full term this time?
‘This is not peace, it is an armistice for 20 years.’ (Ferdinand Foch. After the Treaty of Versailles, 1919).
Palin is smart like a fox. Bush, I believe has dyslexia. I really do not think he has a high IQ which would not be related to dyslexia. People with dyslexia rely a lot more on what they hear rather than what they read.
Now that you think about it, Palin also probably has dyslexia. I'd bet $10,000 they both do. A lot of clues there for both of them.
Keep in mind, I am speaking as a mother whose 21-year-old son has diagnosed dyslexia. Dyslexia today is not diagnosed in the far majority of circumstances.
Ten to fifteen percent of the US population has dyslexia, yet only five out of every one hundred dyslexics are recognized and receive assistance.
