Re: Chris Christie Uses Term 'Boy' In Heated Exchange At African-American Church

I don't think there is a chance in the world that Christie would intentionally call a black man "Boy" in front of an audience and a camera, or even in private.

On the other hand, even using the word "Boy" in a questionable context with blacks present is quite a mistake for a politician to make. Most politicians don't use the word "Boy" at all around blacks. Mistakes like this will sink Christie.

Interesting to note off topic that it now seems to have become acceptable for blacks to refer to young white males as "White Boy." Just not the other way around.

Chris Christie Uses Term 'Boy' In Heated Exchange At African-American Church

Boy, I tell you what...people need to grow the **** up and grow a set. With all the poverty, violence, and devastation in the world to make this kind of a thing an issue is a joke.

Well, on the plus side, the left will stop holding Christie up as to what their ideal republican looks like......

I don't think Christie is a racist, and I don't think his comment was meant to be derogatory. I think it was an example of what is known as "code switching"

When some people talk to other people who come from a different social group, they will adopt the speech habits of that group. I think Christie was just trying to get a little "jive" on, which is not a good idea for someone as white as he is, and definitely not at a black church

Nah, you got it wrong. Its the PC Nazi retards as well as the race merchants.

There's nothing racial in Cristie's response. And people making an issue of this are sad little lemmings just goosestepping along with the rest of the faux outraged. This really has gotten unbearably stupid.

I think it's a far bigger issue that Chris Christie is going around calling grown ass men 'boys'.

    Boy you got that right.

The context makes it seem more expletive rather than actually addressing the person. But the right wing showed us they don't care about context with "you didn't build that," and they're already up in arms because Christie dared give a Democrat some credit for his work during a major disaster.

They'll see it as reason enough to toss him.

Seriously, people need to grow the hell up. It's a word! Get over it!
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

I haven't seen it linked to racist comments either. Many times it is used as a warning of impending retaliation or to mark inexperience or ignorance of a subject. But I've seen it used across the board. I don't like Christie, but this was not an act of racism.
