Email tells feds to make sequester as painful as promised

Email tells feds to make sequester as painful as promised - Washington Times

He said he was discouraged by officials in Washington, who gave him this reply: “We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”

Are you freaking kidding me? So the simple premise would be "We told them it was going to be bad so make sure it IS bad."?

And they go on to say, essentially, "We are trying to make it as painless as possible but we probably won't be able to inspect meat so that will be in short supply."

Man, those of you who still believe that a gigantic government is your friend had better be paying attention because this is the antithesis of governance and is running headlong into "ruling".

Thanks for the post...good to see it in black-and-white though I think many of us instinctively knew that's exactly what was going to happen.

This is disgusting. Reminds me of the employers that told their employees you better not vote for Obama or I might have to cut your hours and did it to make good on the threat.

Again, I have trouble believeing so much in the media. I am going to have to wait to get to upset about it, waiting for more information. But I can believe it, sounds like politics as usual in America.

Can't wait to see the apologists moonwalk all over this. Someone finally had the balls to take away Obama's credit card and now he is throwing a tantrum to try to demonize the opposition in the eyes of his clueless sheep. The guy is a waste of skin.

It is important to remember that it was the Obama White House (after lying about it until Woodward proved up the lie) that proposed the Sequestration. Now he declares that his program will devastate the economy. And next we learn his agency wants it to devastate even the food supply.

Cockiness is the prerogative of a second term president.

It is not only the prerogative but in many instances the downfall.

It is our moron congress critters that allowed this to pose as "budgeting", which is their job. Obama is indeed a clever dude as he was served up the perfect opportunity to make these small spending cuts (actually just not planned spending increases in most cases) "hurt". The Obama message is that ALL, yep every single dime (famous Obama words), federal spending is "needed". The MSM will give him a pass, as they also like the huge federal nanny state idea. Obama can lie with the best of them.
