Jeb Bush won’t rule out 2016 run

I'll vote, no more Bush's! This will never recover if another Bush, get in the White House again!

Check that spelling on Conservatives, will you? Also, as we all know, you Hispanics are NEVER going to vote for a Republican, no matter how many freebies you get.

Good thing white people vote on principle and not for handouts, right?

If you really want to ensure that Democrat voters turn out, field another Bush.

Civil disobedience is another phrase you might want to consider googling. A false choice is a false choice.

If you don't like any candidates, write in vote for yourself. Or a friend. Or someone you think would do a better job. If you don't make your voice heard, then your desires will never be enacted.

Just tell the American people that we would be making history by having three Presidents from the same family for the very first time in the history of our nation.

Jeb would win handily.

We're deep like that.

Any American for whom that would be a positive seriously doesn't understand the point of this country. We are meant to oppose aristocracy, not embrace it. Political families like the Bushes and Kennedys are antithetical to the spirit of the United States.

Those who vote have the right to gripe. Those who are too lazy to get off their butts and vote deserve what they get.

BS. If you live in Utah or California or any other state that isn't a swing state, there is no point in voting in the general election. A pointless exercise, really.

Not All states allow write-in votes for President :doh

I know. I tried to vote for my penis, but was arrested. Hell, people voted for bigger dicks than that, and one of those dicks is in the white house. How come THEY are not in jail?

NOTE: This event never really happened, but I thought it would be cool to post it. LOL.

The world and America will never be ready for another Bush in office.

Idiot is also a term for someone who would discount a candidate soley on their last name. As much as I dislike Bill Clinton, he is irrelevent to Hillarys candidacy in 2016. Jeb is not George. Jeb is a very popular governor, with solid credentials, a fresh personality, honest and unafraid. He takes risks, and ignores political pressure. And hes smart.

If he takes great care in avoiding cronyism, and stays out of the gutter, he could be a very serious contender in 2016. I probably would still not vote for him because hes a Republican, and not a libertarian (small l), but I would not be unhappy to see him win.

I think a presidential run by Jeb Bush is going to be very problematic. He speaks fluent Spanish, as does his brother, George W, and supports a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens. On top of that, he is very supportive of New Jersey Governor Christie, who has now become a pariah amongst the Republican faithful.

However, should he pull off a miracle and get the nomination, his candidacy would be very competitive, which is something I cannot say about other possible candidates. But 2016 is a long ways off. The road to that nomination is going to be a very interesting one, and the winners of the ongoing civil war inside the GOP will determine who runs.

Article is here.
CaptainCourtesy@DebatePolitics.com hasn't ruled out running in 2016 either.

The world and America will never be ready for another Bush in office.

It all depends on the circumstances the country finds itself in come 2016. Back in 2000 there were quite a few people saying the wrong Bush was running for president. I think they were right. I would vote for Jeb Bush, I never voted for his brother G.W. Bush.

He may be nothing like the others, but I cannot imagine our country electing another Bush as President in our lifetimes.

If you want to vote for him, that's your right and prerogative; however, I will not fall for the propaganda that comes out of his mouth or from his hands, not for an instant.

I look at it this way. If I could like a decent chunk of George W. Bush's domestic policy, and like some of what I am hearing from Jeb's mouth as of lately, I am not ruling the man out.

I want the brand of "compassionate conservative" to come back. I will be influenced by direct issues closer to my own heart, some of which had started gaining attention by even the GOP's least talented (Palin), or entertained at the policy council level of W's administration.
