Jeb Bush isn't ruling out a run for the White House in 2016.

"That's way off into the future," Bush, a Republican and former Florida governor, responded on Monday's "Today" show when asked about a possible presidential bid. "I won't [rule it out], but I won't declare today either."

Bush was on the NBC show to promote his upcoming book, “Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution," but the interview quickly turned into idle 2016 temperature taking.

I think a presidential run by Jeb Bush is going to be very problematic. He speaks fluent Spanish, as does his brother, George W, and supports a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens. On top of that, he is very supportive of New Jersey Governor Christie, who has now become a pariah amongst the Republican faithful.

However, should he pull off a miracle and get the nomination, his candidacy would be very competitive, which is something I cannot say about other possible candidates. But 2016 is a long ways off. The road to that nomination is going to be a very interesting one, and the winners of the ongoing civil war inside the GOP will determine who runs.

Why do they keep resurrecting this clunker? Jeb Bush, like his brother and father, is the most nauseating sort of Liberal globalist. His candidacy would be worse than McCain, worse than Dole, worse than Romney. The media would love him.

You know the point of wining a election is to win the majority of Americans, not just the conservitives?

Check that spelling on Conservatives, will you? Also, as we all know, you Hispanics are NEVER going to vote for a Republican, no matter how many freebies you get.

And that kind of thinking will not help you win a general election if you insult part of the electorate.

Nope. It is to win 270 electoral votes as will be decided by less than a majority of Americans. Obama won with only a little better than 20% support of all Americans

I think this country has had enough of the Bush dynasty...I can't see him coming close to winning. Throw his name away.

What on earth are you talking about.

Math. 310 million or so people divided by 62M or so votes received is about 5:1 or 20% of americans. Nobody wins the majority of America because so many Americans either cannot or do not not vote.

If you don't vote you don't count.

Doesn't mean you are not still an American if you don't vote. It just means nobody ever has the mandate they claim to have.

Those who vote have the right to gripe. Those who are too lazy to get off their butts and vote deserve what they get.

Not voting might be a conscious choice, not a lazy one, for some.

I think he would be a useful candidate, but the Bush-name baggage is going to be a serious problem for conservatives and the media play. I disagree with the man on a number of issues, but I am not altogether opposed.

The Democrat would have to be real idiot for me to vote for Bush!!

I say this as a registered Republican !!

Except I voted so how do you explain what I got?

If you voted, then you have every right in the world to complain about the result. I have no respect at all for those who don't vote, but then feel that they are entitled to complain. My candidate, Gary Johnson, didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but I not only voted, but got 2 friends of mine to come to the polls with me, and they voted for him too. To get the government you want, you HAVE to participate. Next election, drag your non-voting friends to the polls. Doesn't matter if you are Liberal, Conservative, or other. Activism is everything. In the battle between Liberals and Conservatives, whichever side is the most active on election day is usually who gets to call the shots after election day.

He might not, but we most certainly should rule him out completely.

i was going to vote for him until benghazi cover up started. being in a swing state i had to try and vote for the rich guy,,,,,,,

Just tell the American people that we would be making history by having three Presidents from the same family for the very first time in the history of our nation.

Jeb would win handily.

We're deep like that.

I'd vote for him I think. He did right by Florida.
