Americans on Disability Hits New Record for 192nd Straight Month

The way you worded your statement, it didn't seem that way. But beyond that, even if you DID have serious anxiety, it would take a lot more than just walking into a psychologist's office, and getting diagnosed to get SSDI. My brother has serious anxiety and the process for him to get SSDI was not so simple.

You are right, I do not. But your explanation continues to strike me as wildly insufficient. We did not have anything close to 1 institutionalized individual for every 13 workers.



(Increase in those claiming disability) - (those who would have been unable to work and are now able to work due to the increase in knowledge work in our society) + (de institutionalized mental patients) simply < (those who have added themselves to the rolls of SSDI).

And lots of those are FOREINERS that NEVER paid into SSDI and get it. Like Obamas aunt. THen people like me get nothing. Paid 27 years, disabled and get nothing............

and there is NO WELFARE anymore. ended 1996. So end the GOP lies.

On the contrary - welfare simply had some common sense limitations put on it in order to encourage work. Which seems to have done alright as is demonstrated by:

Well, the problem with that is that the ADA makes it more expensive and dangerous for them to do so.

Depends on the disability. There are some (like my wife) who are not able to be hired to work as their disability (such as MS) affects them too much.

As for your foreigner comment above, I agree. Non-U.S. citizens should not be receiving welfare of any kind.

You can't get disability if you haven't worked.
 
I can't say how massive the fraud issue is with disability, but I know a lot of people that are on it and shouldn't be. I have in fact reported a case. My cousins wife flat told me that she went on disability so she wouldn't be forced to work. She told the doctor she was hearing voices and had a phobia about working or something like that. She was on 100% disability, but don't think she gets that anymore. I also have talked to people who couldn't find work so they made up some problem so they could get some kind of disability. I currently have two family members who are on disability for back problems but mysteriously have no problems when they are out on vacation. All they would have to do to investigate is check out peoples photos on Facebook.

The only benefits allowed for illegal aliens is using the emergency room for medical emergencies and sending children to public school.

Yes you can.

Obamas aunt NEVER WORKED ONE DAY in USA, is not a citizen, and she gets disability, medicaid, and a Apartment.

The Iraqi civilian workers in Iraq are now getting SSDI, and staying here, becasue they worked a few months in Iraq.

Just two examples , they have refused my FOIA requests for more foreigners getting SSDI.


Obviously this story is propoganda, but it proves "never pay" people get disability.

She probably gets SSI.
You can't get SSDI without a certain number of credits based on your work.

There is one loophole, that if you were born with a disability and were/are never married, you can get SSDI based on your parents.

Many people who have worked their entire life are on disability for ajob related reason. Many people deserve disability.

I agree that there is way too much fraud connected to this.

I suggest that anybody who knows is abusing the system to report the. It's easy.
