Meh, no different than Bush really and a bunch of the partisan can't seem to understand that one. If you hate Obama, you should hate Bush. Peas in a pod those two.

You have finally achieved a modicum of accuracy. Bush and his father were both the most disgusting sort of Liberal Globalists.

No you couldn't, but if you believe this you have no idea what needs to occur for one with anxiety to get SSDI.

If we had seen a sudden, sharp, immediate flooding of these people to the disability rolls, then that would be indicative. But the steady increase we have seen is nothing of the sort, but rather similar to what they have seen in Britain.
Call BS all you want. You have no idea what you are talking about. The process of de-institutionalization has been occurring gradually over the past 15 years. As this has occurred, the number of people applying for SSDI has also increased. This has not been a lightswitch occurrence.

Perhaps you are assuming I don't already have serious anxiety?

The way you worded your statement, it didn't seem that way. But beyond that, even if you DID have serious anxiety, it would take a lot more than just walking into a psychologist's office, and getting diagnosed to get SSDI. My brother has serious anxiety and the process for him to get SSDI was not so simple.

You are right, I do not. But your explanation continues to strike me as wildly insufficient. We did not have anything close to 1 institutionalized individual for every 13 workers.

(Increase in those claiming disability) - (those who would have been unable to work and are now able to work due to the increase in knowledge work in our society) + (de institutionalized mental patients) simply < (those who have added themselves to the rolls of SSDI).

And those 13 are also supporting the people on Welfare, Social Security, Medicaid, Unemployment.... yeesh. No wonder we have trillion dollar deficits.
And lots of those are FOREINERS that NEVER paid into SSDI and get it. Like Obamas aunt. THen people like me get nothing. Paid 27 years, disabled and get nothing............

and there is NO WELFARE anymore. ended 1996. So end the GOP lies.

want to end disabiltiy, then get your employers to HIRE the disabled.............I work and am disabled........

It blows my mind that illegal aliens are allowed any government benefits in this country.

On the contrary - welfare simply had some common sense limitations put on it in order to encourage work. Which seems to have done alright as is demonstrated by:

want to end disabiltiy, then get your employers to HIRE the disabled.............I work and am disabled........
Well, the problem with that is that the ADA makes it more expensive and dangerous for them to do so.

Depends on the disability. There are some (like my wife) who are not able to be hired to work as their disability (such as MS) affects them too much.

As for your foreigner comment above, I agree. Non-U.S. citizens should not be receiving welfare of any kind.
