Anonymous Threatens Massive WikiLeaks-Style Exposure, Announced On Hacked Gov Site

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

Meh, hackers. They always grow with their ways.

Last year hackers cracked into our e-mail account and spread messages to all our contacts in English saying we were strained in Spain somewhere and that they should send "us" money in some account. This was pretty stupid since we do not speak English with each other (i.e., Albanian). So the attempt of course failed.

This year they advanced and no longer want money to be send to an account (for it is traceable) but they want to send it through Western Union. Further their English comments were translated to Albanian by using Google Translate (we know cause that Albanian form sucks bad).

What they do is send you and e-mail pretending to be Yahoo Services and want to stop a hacker. If you do not want your account to be hacked "Click here" and it sends you to a Yahoo resembling site. Put your username and password to what appears to be a Yahoo site and you will be presenting your password and username to the hackers.

Smart aye! Just do not go with it. Close the window and re-open proper Yahoo site if need be.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

God damn I love hacktivists. I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

Hackers are always cool........until they **** you over.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

Anonymous have also went after those inbred lowlifes at Westborough a few times.

The government disregards our privacy, I love it when I see their dirty laundry being aired ;)

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

If they didn't style the announcement like the trailer of a movie I might take them more seriously. The music in the background was often louder than the speaker.

Until I see the goods I'm not impressed.

That's how the majority of their 'Ops' are announced and most of the time they follow through.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

Now this is what I call Hacking in a positive way!!!

That's what I personally define as Treasonous and which I believe should be responded to by finding these people and shooting first without asking questions at all.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

There is nothing positive about this at all.

This is a terrorist act and should be treated accordingly.

What is treasonous is those in office who have disregarded the Oath the took, you know to uphold and defend the Constitution?

That encompasses most all elected officials in D.C.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

It's kind of sad that we need hacktivists and wikileaks to force government transparency. Our governments should be more accountable by default.

Yes it does. However, that does not give ANYONE the right to break into classified documents and make them public. Especially not knowing who and what might be put in danger by the publication of those documents.

And the proper, non-terrorist method for dealing with such people is included in the Constitution...you vote them out of office.

You DON'T attack our government.

The government has continued to erode our rights, especially regarding our right to trial. I'm glad someone has the balls to stand up to them, because most of us don't.

When nearly every politician is this way, that's not really an option. Everybody makes big campaign promises and then when they're elected just does whatever they want. Those who actually are trying to do the right thing are stonewalled.

But hey, next time you're at the ballot box, be sure to pat yourself on the back for how much you're fighting government corruption by picking the right candidates.

Re: Constrictive Hacking!

Until they show the balls to go after China with all the dirty laundry they have, they are just cowards going after a target they know they can hit to look good.

Selective activism is little better than selective outrage and thats about what this is.

No offense but there are a lot more crappy places they could be targeting with much deeper civil and human rights violations.

Yeah, but I, like them, don't really give a **** about other countries right now, I'm worrying about what our government is doing to us. Sorry, it's just a matter of priorities. When we get our **** together we can start worrying about other people.

Is Anonymous just an American thing? Or do they operate more in the US as opposed to China because they have the freedom to do so without disappearing here?

It's a worldwide organization. And did you really just suggest that the US government doesn't make people disappear who they label as terrorists?

Good thing our American constitutional freedoms give them the power to hack the government and release files. That must be why they're so attracted to America. What a sheltered world you must live in.

Sorry to disagree, but of the TWO treasonous things the hackers or the government the government is most dangerous and should be the ones delt with harshly. I am sorry but if my government is doing unlawful or heinous things I need to know about it so I can organize to put a stop to it. The unfortunate inocents that may be revieled in the documents where screwed by the government in their actions. I also disagree with you on the right to take classified documents public. If the public interest is best served by making them public then they need to be public regardless of how they got that way especially if those documents bring to light actions by the government doing things they are not authorized to do. Secrecy is how this government gets around its masters.

Your defeatist attitude...coupled with a general disinterest in our government on the part of our citizenry...and is the main cause of our problems.

I have quite an interest in our government, but my vote for people who actually might change something, the libertarian party, is always wasted because we have a ridiculous two party system where both sides are out to **** us as hard as they can.

When's the last time you've cleaned up government corruption with your once-ever-4-years vote?

Exactly, for example, if our government is torturing children in dark rooms, shouldn't we know about it? Exposing attrocities or gross constitutional violations is not treason.

How is this positive? They're basically blackmailing your government saying "Pass all the laws we want you to or we'll release embarrassing information". It's practically terrorism. Even if you agree with their (stated) aims, supporting their methods is grossly immoral.

And maybe the government shouldn't be doing things that it would be embarrassed to admit in the first place.

Mostly they turn them into tiny bits with drone launched missiles.

Anonymous seems to have a cavalier attitude about the "collateral damage" they might do. This means that a lot of innocent people will be hurt, and I can't go along with that.

Anonymous is naive to think that the NSA doesn't already know who and where they are. The second it becomes a national security issue, and therefore subject to them, it will be the end of Anonymous.
