Sorry, you're wrong, the Constitution does not include the word "God" anywhere in it, nor in any of the Amendments. The closest you're going to get is the signatory section which lists the date as: "Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven".

    You're just wrong.

Many of you are assuming (wrongfully in this matter) that most children in Arizona graduate from high school. Or even want to, for that matter.

The God thing won't be the killer, it is the Constitution thing if it were ever enacted because not all high school graduates are US born citizens. It is a silly proposal either way that would never pass.

Allah is just the Arabic word for god. So if it did include god it actually includes Allah aswell.

Not according to a lot of Muslims who won't use the word. Same with Jews. Same with Buddhists, who have no gods.

I would definitely pull a Kids In The Hall and finish the oath off with, "... so help me, Satan". Just to get a rise out of the teachers.

I first object to being made to swear some creepy cult oath as a requirement to graduating high school.

The sad part is those that support making kids take this path can't give a good reason WHY this is even needed. this is just bible thumpers cramming religion down people's throats.

Well it is the literal translation. Allah Ackbar! means god is great.
