The final tally was about 49% Romney and 51% Obama, and we're left with approximately six million who elected the president, less than the population of Los Angeles.

But, those figures could be off. It might have been a lot fewer than that.
Without voter ID the numbers could mean anything. When dozens of precincts vote 100% for a single party candidate, which defies reliable statistics, then questions have to be raised.

It's fair for him to ask tough questions...but worst since 9/11? Wow.

With voter ID, they could mean anything. Voter ID = Magazine size restrictions. Won't stop anything.

To be fair, hyperbole is the stock in trade of all politicians the world over. He's not the first person to exaggerate a point, on either side, and he won't be the last. People on the left comparing Bush to Hitler has the same kind of over-the-top ring to it. Perhaps the point he was trying to make was that when it comes to the country protecting its citizens, the murders in Benghazi were the worst loss of life on the government's watch since 9/11.

Unfortunately too true. I know it's just the normal hyperbole it just seems egregious to compare it to 9/11.

People on the right are comparing Obama to Hitler now, which I just figure is the same "Really?" factor as comparing Bush to Hitler. I assume that people would have compared Romney, McCain or Gore to Hitler...

To be fair, the invasion and occupation of Iraq involved a much greater loss of life, and that happened since 9/11

But "the worst tragedy since the Iraq War, which I supported" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Compared to Obamacare, the Iraq war was one of the most popular government initiatives of the new millenium.

Not a red herring so much as an attempt to indicate that sometimes popular things don't stay popular and vice-versa. If you don't like reference to Obamacare, how about reference to the "good war", according to Obama, in Afghanistan. Perhaps the greatest tragedy since 9/11 would be Obama's so called surge in Afghanistan with no real purpose and without the number of troops the commanders in the field said they needed, and without virtually any support from US allies.
