Five hints from Joe Biden that he’s gearing up for 2016 run

Do you support Joe Biden for President in 2016?

I like Biden alot. He's an incredibly adroit legislator and he knows how to hit the hypocritical monocle polishing conservatives where it hurts. But that's not the skill set for being president.

That would be the best thing possible for the republicants in 2016. If Joe Biden is the 2106 demorat presidential candidate (highly doubtful) then the republicants could run another RINO (highly likely) and win big. ;)

Well since its 2013 i simply dont know.

Republicans are wholly owned by the Tea Party. They will only run the Bachmanns and Santorums of their freakish party in the future. That's why they will never win a presidential election again.

Are you kidding me? Dole, McCain and Romney were all RINOS. Even in the GOP primaries the TP types (fiscal conservatives), and evangelical types (social conservatives) do not fair well. More likely a moderate (like Portman or Rubio) will get the 2016 GOP nod. There are too many now enjoying the benefits of massive federal spending to let the TP get into power.

Romney ran on Santorum's platform. It's the only platform a GOP politician can run on. Any variation from tea party purity, and the rightwing noise machine attacks.

That's why they will never win a presidential election again. (that and demographic changes that make the GOP untenable except as a regional party).

Which is why one of them was nominated when they both ran for president last year.

I think he could get the nomination. If a Republican talks stupidly and makes gaffs, like Palin, the media rages that she's an idiot. When Biden does it the view of the media is to just chuckle, say "that's just good ole Joe" and drop it.

He hasn't got a chance in hell.

Most vice presidents -- ironically -- are ill suited for the presidency (mostly I believe because they are usually picked for regional legislative support). And most don't become president. He's a good campaigner and since the GOP is likely to nominate an even more freakish candidate than Romney next time, he could win. But I agree. I doubt it.

Keep telling yourself that and run crazy, old Joe Biden then. :lamo

Do you really believe that? People have been predicting the end of one of the major parties for decades. Roosevelt's 4 terms and the GOP's three consecutive landslides are the most apparent, and yet every time the other party adapts and continues to win elections.

That's because Biden is smart and Palin is stupid. Just get used to reality instead of bashing the media for reflecting it.

Huntsman is a good man. That's why he was chased out the GOP campaign in two seconds.

You don't get it: the GOP is dominated and controlled by the rightwing noise machine: a creation, more of less, of Rove. A confederation of conservative thinktanks and talking head knownothings like Limbaugh and Fox News. It can't be switched off. It can only get more and more extreme and chase more and more moderate republicans away. Next time, Palin or Bachmann will easily get the nomination. It's inevitable.

Huntsman can never get nominated with the noisemachine attacking him day and night with its tea party agitprop.

Unfortunately, I don't belive that. The general population has been sufficiently dumbed down enough, that a Biden win wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Biden is both stupid and evil. This is the person who when the government sent in tanks poison gassing all the chidlren at a commune that wasn't Christian and was polygamist in Baptist Texas, Biden claimed the children had "committed suicide" to support the military attack on behalf of Baptists and Christians. Biden is a fundamentally evil person.

So you supported Huntsman's policies on economics? I'll remember that.

No. I liked Huntsman for the nomination, but what sunk him was his own incompetent campaigning. He didn't know how to manage the media or the message. Like so many candidates who look good on paper, when it came to campaign time, he was a dismal failure.

Oh for god's sake...did we really need to ratchet up the stupid rhetoric level of this thread that much?

I know this is an odd thought, but wouldn't it depend on who else is running?

Very odd indeed.

The poll is worded briefly. The unspoken aspect would be suggesting who else a person might more prefer.

exactly, thats part of the reason i said since its 2013 my answer is i dont know.

If i only had two choices i woulda voted for him against Mitt though.

That scares me and I am fearless. ;)

I cannot think of a single republican I would prefer to Biden, which does not mean that there is none. There are several democrats I would prefer, with Hillary Clinton topping the list.
