If people wish to use inefficient electrical devices they should be free to do that and others should be free to try to convince them to do otherwise in a respectful manner. If they don't accept their arguments or happen to have some use for these devices that other technologies can't provide than they should be free to continue to make that choice. It matters not to me and this drama about how it means horrible things for the grid is just that, drama.
Then they should expect to pay a higher premium on their home/property insurance because such idiots are sure to cause a fire and possible burn their house down possibly causing harm to themselves and others. It is really worth it to possibly lose your property can maybe your very life, as well as others, just because you wish to be the Burger King and have it your way?
