    We're debating, he is not.
here is where you are totally wrong
there is a HUGE debate raging right now about gun control
it is NOT a settled matter; hence the debate

There is no debate, he's gets all the airtime, there is no one else saying, "hey, you're wrong."
He gets the entire time to present his point on television, congress does but on the back channels no one watches.
for this to be close to true, then you would have to have assumed the NRA is going to be quiet on the issue
it is clear that is not the case, making your conclusion - that there is no debate - an incorrect one

No, we aren't exposed to the perspective of all children though.
you have been now, thanks to the white house
do with it as you will

    That's the issue here.
and notice that we are participating in a DEBATE on the gun control issue
    that is THE issue here
we are negotiating about dividing a pizza and in the meantime israel is eating it

'Ya know, this little stunt by Obama is going to be seen for what it is.... A cheap and tasteless political stunt. Rather than approaching this from an emotional standpoint, both sides need to back off, and then come to the table and compromise. Here is what would work..........

    1) Background checks? Republicans should agree to let Democrats have their way on this one. After all, who wants a nutcase obtaining a firearm legally?

    2) Assault rifles and large clips? Democrats should agree to let Republicans have their way on this one. After all, If criminals are still going to break the law and obrain them, then why can't honest citizens obtain them legally. It just makes sense.

Problem solved with a good compromise that contains some common sense. Now on to the next issue......

DanaRhea for President.................Um, never mind. I don't want the job. LOL.

So their opinion can be trusted and respected but they can't be trusted to go to the bathroom without a device tracking them?

Do I have your position on the two issues right?

We already have background checks. This is not the same thing a psychological fitness certification of some type.
We currently can't get assault rifles without special licensure. People are highly misinformed on what an assault rifle is.

the kids certainly have an opinion
whether it is a legitimate one is for each citizen to assess for themself

notice that has absolutely nothing to do with RFID tags

So their opinion can be trusted and respected but they can't be trusted to go to the bathroom without a device tracking them?
they have an opinion to offer
whether it is a respected opinion depends upon each listener

again, notice how that has absolutely nothing to do with RFID tags

Do I have your position on the two issues right?
    no
the RFID tags has nothing to do with the opinions kids have about guns and their concern about them

    1) No we don't. At a gun show, there is no background check. You can walk in and buy a gun from any stranger who is selling one.

    2) I'll defer to you on the second part of your post. However, I don't see the problem with someone having a AR-15 with a 32 round clip. If a crook can get one illegally, then honest people should be able to obtain one legally.

That's news to me, as I have bought at gun shows and they require a background check.

    the reich wing is pissed
they have no where to hide on the gun issue
they want instead to tell us how awful bats and guns are
they see Gabby has become the face of the gun control advocacy and have no counter to her
and they know that restrictions are coming and they can do nothing to stop them
This is dumbass propaganda and anyone with a functioning brain and IQ higher than 30 can figure that out.

I go to the gun show at the George Brown Convention Center here in Houston every year, up until 2009, when I got my DWI (Was not allowed to own a firearm during my probation for that). I bought my Model-16 there, which is a semi-automatic .22 calibre rifle that was made to look like an M-16, and manufactured by Arms Corporation of the Philippines. I did not get a background check when I purchased it. I bought the weapon, and then walked out the door with it.

Really? In Colorado there was a background check. I'm not sure they have gun shows in Jersey because this state sucks.
