Obamacare opponents warned that forcing companies employing 50 or more full-time workers to buy healthcare would prompt employers to slash jobs and worker hours. And that’s exactly what’s happening, says one of President Barack Obama’s favorite economists, Mark Zandi of Moody’s Analytics.
“It will have a negative impact on job creation” this year, says Mr. Zandi.

Obamacare Layoffs, Hiring Freezes Begin

A retard could have told you what would happen. Unfortunately our press is beyond retarded.

There are all manner of terrible socialist programs to tell you what would happen. Hope the under and unemployed learn their lesson. What would that be?

NO FREE LUNCHES. NO FREE RIDES. NO MAGIC PIXIE DUST.

If Obama were serious about a "laser-like focus on jobs"... ObamaKare would never have happened.
Obi ain't interested in yobs... he's interested in fundamentally destroying America.

I don't know how mandating private businesses to pay for the health care to their employees using private health insurance companies is in any way socialist.

If anything, this realization will likely spur on an actual socialist health care program - a universal health care system paid for by a variety of taxes - so businesses will no longer have to bear that burden.

That's right, it's definitely not socialist. The fact that the government is using the threat of violence to force business owners to pay for extra stuff for their workers is far more fascist than anything. To be honest, the government is just trying to pass the buck so that they don't have to redirect wasted assets into something that actually matters.

Not really.

Rather, it's because private health insurance companies give campaign donations to Representatives and Senators to keep them viable because a universal health care system would hurt them.

Even though a universal health care system, or at least a health care system that does not require businesses to purchase it for their employees, would be better for all other businesses.

Where do you propose the money come from?

Universal Health Care and the thing that is coming down the tracks at those of us who tied to those tracks are not the same thing.

Nobody, not even the government, knows what has been passed. We are literally thousands of law suits away from a thorough understanding of what Obamacare is.

What? What violence? Do you mean the social theory that all government power ultimately rests in the power of force, whether that is police or military, which enforces its laws? If so, how is Obamacare different than any other law or tax ever?

It's not, every law is backed with the threat of violence. Therefore, there should be a damn good reason for it. Using the threat of violence to force citizens to buy other citizens things is despicable.

So all laws are fascism then? I get that you don't like the law, but if a law is fascist because its backed by force and all laws are backed by force than all laws are fascist then are they not?

It's fascist/statist for two reasons:
1) It's forcing an action, instead of restricting one. Most of our laws on the books are designed to prevent damage or influence onto other sovereign human beings. (ie: You can't shoot someone in the face). That is restricting an action.

2) It is nullifying all work contracts, which were created and signed by both parties, the worker and the employer. The government is stepping in and renegging the agreements made and forcing an action with the threat of violence.

"I know you guys made a legally binding contract with each other, but I've decided you need to buy him something or I'll throw your ass in jail."

it's more of an indictment of our ridiculous employer-specific health care delivery model than it is of the PPACA. if it brings about the end of that model more quickly, then PPACA might be less useless than I thought.

Fair enough, although there is no jail penalty for not buying your mandated health insurance.

There's a outrageous fine for an employer who doesn't buy his workers health insurance, and if he can't afford that fine, he goes to jail.
