So basically voting no or wont vote because 1.)Things didnt go as planned. And 2.)"We didnt get everything we wanted in the fiscal cliff deal"

So since of these two things that are very common in governing the republicans plan on screwing people over. Gotcha.

    good job repubs!

Tin foil hat time... I heard of a possible conspiratorial angle that Boehner is using it as leverage in his own party for the House Speaker vote being held tomorrow where he is trying to ward off a surging Eric Cantor. Don't know how true... just a rumor I heard.

This is what's so beautiful about conservatives: yesterday Christie was a conservative darling. Now he's public enemy number one. Conservatives and their ideological purity will eat each other alive.

I'm gonna need a source on that one...

I have to agree. After Sandy, Christie seemed to grow up and started to take governing seriously. That puts him at odds with conservatives and their bizarre ideological fetishes. Hats off to Christie.

As to the tea party occupation forces preventing disaster relief, it's just more evidence of the lunacy of modern conservatism, which is quickly becoming totally isolated if not a laughingstock.

meh... I don't doubt Cristie's intentions. I truly think he is a man very proud of his state. I don't think he's playing politics because if he is, he'd be burning bridges all over his own party. I think he just wants to get things going on repairs to his state.

He has never been the conservative darling by my measure--just the what the dems want the GOP to run. Either way, as Luther has posted above, this was held up because everybody in the Senate apparently hung a chunk of ham on the Christmas tree. I am not sure $200M for rum-makers is really related to NJ aid, nor is the money to NASCAR, fisheries in Alaska, or roofs for the Smithsonian.
