Looks like the 112th is about to set the bar to a new, lower level.

<According to a Huffington Post review of all the bills that hit President Barack Obama's desk this session, Obama has signed 219 bills passed by the 112th Congress into law. With less than a week to go in the year, there are currently another 20 bills pending presidential action. In comparison, the last Congress passed 383 bills, while the one before it passed 460.>


<"We have been studying Washington politics and Congress for more than 40 years, and never have we seen them this dysfunctional," they wrote. "In our past writings, we have criticized both parties when we believed it was warranted. Today, however, we have no choice but to acknowledge that the core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.">

The less bills Congress create, the better.
 
Then it would also be logical to assume that we have had the least productive President since the 1940's......just saying it takes two to tango
 
This congress did produce plenty of additional national debt. It is not the volume of legislation that determines "productivity" of a congress but how their actions (or lack thereof) affect the populaton and the economy. Simply tracking how busy our congress critters are is a poor measure of productivity. As a carpenter, I could keep myself very busy on a job site and produce nothing of value, or I could work at a fairly relaxed pace yet still accomplish plenty. ;)

Personally, I think a lack of bills is actually productive. Why do we have the attitude that more bills are better?

Yes. Its nothing but political showmanship. Obviously it was never going to pass. Why waste the time? I get the process of passing a budget back and forth or the current back and forth about the fiscal cliff. That makes sense. It allows the Senate to view your bill, tell the House what they like/dislike, then pass their own and send it back. That's the way our gov't compromises. But the repeal of Obamacare was obviously never going to happen and to continue to vote on it over and over is nothing more than political hackery.

This is a very hopeful sign as the liberal Republicans such as Boehner are painfully and slowly being excoriated by the Americans. After sixty years of virtually non-stop liberal rule and destruction of all that was built in the first half of the Twentieth Century, it is time to skid to a stop. Time to stop and reverse direction. Time to say NO MORE to what has been done to our once beautiful country.

One can only hope and pray that pressure continues on those liberal Republicans who want so badly to surrender immediately.

Kinda looks from this angle that the republican party is dividing into two groups and neither one cant get **** done.
