I started to write that just buying a .25 means he's stupid, but then remembered my wife bought a little really compact and solid little 1950s .25 because "its cute." Actually, most compacts used to be smaller (but heavier) than they are now. A .25 isn't much, but its better than nothing. And she is an amazingly skilled shot. And it is sort of a cute little gun at that. Solid nickel with white ivory grips. So small a person wouldn't see it in my hand.
I'll tell you what is ridiculous. Those little Charter Arms single action .22 mini revolvers. Time how long it takes to cock it after shooting the first round - and measure the accuracy at 10 feet with it's -1 inch barrel. Those are absurd. I'd rather just have a brick to throw at the other person.
