Parents fearful after 6th grader brings gun to school | ksl.com
"He pulled out a gun and he put it to my head, me and my friend," Isabelle said. "He was going to kill us."
11 years old is certainly old enough to be familiar, and possibly quite proficient, with a .22 pistol or revolver. I get the impression from the article that the kid didn't consult with his parents on his decision and that isn't good but charging the parents with child endangerment based on nothing other than the fact that the kid had a gun in school is ridiculous.
It was a bad decision on the kids part but the logic of it is fine and dandy.
Kid takes his mothers guns and shoots 26 people. Other families with guns and youngsters in the house don't change a thing in their house. Unbelievable.
Thank you, Quazi!
