Not at all. You were the one discussing the need to infringe on certain rights and I just wanted to see if you applied the same standard to all rights........you do not.

I agree with that. There is a competition to see who can get the highest statistics and the most hours of coverage.

They must discuss this in hell or something.

Regardless....... Gun control isn't the answer. And we can't make legislation to force the media not to cover something...... But if the media would understand that they are part of the problem and quit covering it for 96 hours straight then maybe these problems wouldn't be so frequent.

Why can't you seem to explain it then?

    If it seems so simple.

A Crazy person can be crazy for 1, 24, 48, 72, 96, or 1,223,122 hours........A waiting period isn't going to change anything except be yet another barrier to lawful ownership of a weapon.

You have never heard of people doing things they regret on impulse or crimes of passion huh? You lead a sheltered life, I guess
Sitting around talking to your guns is not healthy, you need to get out more.

The regret comes from HAVING DONE the act..... not having a certain number of hours pass with nothing happening.

    A. I don't talk to my gun.
    B. I highly doubt I lead a sheltered life considering I work as a police officer. Alot LESS sheltered than some douche sitting in a ****ing cubical behind a desk all goddamned day.

And how quickly you jump on the defensive at the mention that these mass shootings aren't as common proves this.

    its sad really.
I'm sure I watched Obama giving his speech tonight where he definitely said there had been '4 mass shootings since he had become president. Considering he has just started his second term, that is a horrendous statistic for any industrialized nation.

No.. there have been 17 since he has become president technically. While only 10 under 8 years of Bush.

    .
So he got his facts wrong? Can you elaborate...

While only 10 under 8 years of Bush.
And Bush did what differently? (repeal Clinton's semi-automatic ban?)
