    Classy.

This reminds me of my recent bus excursion to Texas. All over the place in the American hinterland there are farm houses and water towers with gaudy anti-abortion messages plastered all about them, usually done up in annoying colours and occasionally misspelled. They remind me of Las Vegas, for some reason.
Oh, the horror! Oh, the magnitude of this horror! Why, the nerve of business and farm owners exercising their rights to free speech! And to add insult to injury, they use gaudy colors and sometimes misspell words!

You should probably carry smelling salts with you at all times in case of dire emergencies such as this. How dare anybody print "Choose life" on a coathanger! Next thing you know, they'll be slapping similar offensive messages on bumper stickers on their vehicles.

Oh, wait...they already do. And, somehow, most of us have all gotten by.

I would stop doing business with them also, but for different reasons. As much as I enjoy discussing and debating politics, there's a time and a place. I prefer to not be bombarded all the time about politics. When I'm doing mundane things like picking up my stuff, just take my money and give me my stuff and leave me alone.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

You can plaster your car all you want with bumper stickers. You can even cover your windshield with them. That is your property.

I think what bugs people is the attempt to shove one's political aim down other's throats. And it is just not political crap, it is coming out of shopping mall and finding advertisements shoved under your windshield wipers. Advertisements cover our landscape like the suit of a NASCAR driver.

Why do I get the feeling that if those wire hangers said "support Roe vs Wade", "Vote Obama" "there is no God" or any other political message you do not subscribe to you or conservatives just like you would be on this thread pitching a bitch about it.

Business owners have every right to use their businesses to convey political messages, just as consumers have the right to use or not to use those businesses as they see fit.
Do you have a problem with that concept?

He didn't take an anti-choice position, 'choose life' is pro-choice. It's both mildly pro-life and mildly pro-choice.

There's nothing over the top there.
I believe half of the things I say and say half of the things I believe.

It is clever in the same way advertising MacDonald's on treadmills would be.

I guess you get that feeling because you have other folks already neatly categorized in your own mind. While stereotyping and making hasty generalizations may not be fair or helpful, they are time-savers. No need to see others as individuals when you've got your labels at the ready.

As for me, I vote with my wallet. I've boycotted a major food-manufacturing corporation and its subsidiaries for over 20 years. Hasn't hurt its business a bit, but that's my choice not to buy their products. So, no, I don't have a problem with businesses using their bully pulpits. Not at all.

If I were "pro-abortion," I simply wouldn't use that drycleaner again. Ever. Do you have a problem with that concept?

Did you miss the part where I wrote "Business owners have every right to use their businesses to convey political messages, just as consumers have the right to use or not to use those businesses as they see fit"?

I try to never frequent businesses that benefit liberals and I know a small business owner that will not hire Obama supporters. I'm sure the owner has already considered the fact that you might not come back and doesn't care. Believe it or not, there are a sizable number of people that DO NOT like liberals and don't want them around.

I think we choose to let parents and doctors determine quality of life and then make a private choice.
