It's hilarious how you've been googling away. But I bet you wish you paid more attention.

Harvard Professor of constitutional law Laurence Tribe suggested that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia tone down his political barbs. “I think Justice Scalia ought to reconsider the harm he does to the court as an institution when he indulges his famous wit in order to stab the president,” said Tribe, who argued for Al Gore in the Bush vs. Gore 2000 showdown, during a Tuesday appearance on Jansing & Co. No serious scholar takes Scalia seriously.

Being well educated doesn't neccessarily translate into brilliance, good decision making or even common sense and Scalia is certainly a good example of that. So is Scalia's comment another example of his using his personal "feelings" over original intent? Why he didn't use inter-racial marriage instead of murder to make his analogy since it would have been more in context with the issue at hand?

googling-LOL Akhil and Steve were good friends of mine in college and I saw steve give the Taft Lecture at U of C law school a few weeks ago. Pam Karlan was another person I knew well who is well ahead of the guy you paen. the other two-attended lectures they gave.

That's what happens when one goes to a top rated law school. I don't need to google leading scholars, I know them or have met them

I don't even think he was directly comparing them, but he definitely didn't equate them. He was just comparing the ability to have moral feelings toward each of them.

Yes, and so would you if you possessed the slightest reading skills.

'Prejudice', by itself, is a fine thing. Discrimination is inherent to human life; we discriminate against scrambled eggs when we choose to cook them sunny-side up instead. Prejudice against minorities, living humans, is a particular case, and ought to be treated differently, and treating it differently - regardless of the subject who's prejudiced - is fine.

Being prejudiced against those who hold prejudicial views is not the corollary of the initial prejudice.

It is quite true, I'm not going to be okay with someone discriminating against me, period.
