But Obama could have nixed it or curtailed it and he just expanded it.

"Justice Department documents released today by the ACLU reveal that federal law enforcement agencies are increasingly monitoring Americans’ electronic communications, and doing so without warrants, sufficient oversight, or meaningful accountability."
I didn't read all the documents associated with this statement but would suggest that the without sufficient oversight, or meaningful accountability." is a very subjective opinion.
What would be required to fairly oversee these searches, is an unbiased neutral group.
Personally, if they want to monitor all my communications, (including the ones in this forum:lol
, they can knock themselves out.
Since it's not possible to find an agency or group that is neutral, I guess the courts will have to do it. But, are the courts neutral?
