The Iron Dome and PAC 3 are quite different

Iron Dome defends agains smaller shorter range missles, like that used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad. It is to my knowledge not effective against longer range and larger ballistic missles (Scud or larger)

PAC3 is the opposite, it is designed to engage Scud and similar missiles, and would be ineffetive against Grad missiles

I think North Korea's military is quite strong. I also think China would back them up.

The whole country, including the military are suffering from lack of food.
Even with all the weapons of the world, they can't get far on starving soldiers.

Starving people are desperate. Never fight someone who has nothing to lose.

Ok, well, not to be a dick, but the laws of physics put a hard cap on the amount of fighting they could do.

What laws of physics are those?

The problems with fighting North Korea are many. First, North Korea has nearly 4 million brainwashed soldiers who will fight to the death. To compare, the US has about 26,000 paid troops in South Korea and a population who doesn't like the idea of bloodshed.

Second, North Korea is mostly mountains. Fighting in the mountains is extremely difficult, especially for an invader. Just think - they know where all the little caves are, where all the mountain passes are, etc. They are used to the cold, the dry, etc.

Third, the last time we tried to fight a war in Korea (the 1950's), China came to the aid of North Korea. China shares a border with North Korea, so they could potentially pour millions of troops in to that country. Meanwhile, the United States is separated from North Korea by the Pacific Ocean.

China could pour food, weapons, and soldiers in to North Korea to such an extent that war would be impossible for us to win.

The one where you can't create energy from nothing.
People without food can only fight for so long.

Then they die from not having food.

Yes, with China's support they could definitely hold on.
    Without, they would fail.

Engaging NK in a land conflict would be foolish.
Air superiority is what would win it.

No problem. I don't think the news really focused on the Japanese until the 6 party talks.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

Air superiority is great to have, but it won't be enough. You can only do so much from the air. Think Vietnam. We had air superiority but what did it matter? In many ways, this is similar to Vietnam... except the deck is stacked even more in the other guy's favor.
