Um, no, not even close, Reid never objected to his own debt ceiling bill, it was shelved as negotiations continued on a compromise.

Apples and oranges, not the same thing.

EDIT: And if this was the McConnell/Reid "PlanB" compromise, it wasn't just Reid's bill to begin with. The outcome was the Budget Control Act of 2011, which is what we are dealing with NOW.
    Same game, differnt play.

Whats the point of democrats forcing a vote in the House on the Senates bill when the house wont pass it?

If it is a "differnt" play, then it is not the same thing.....duh.

The "game" is the legislative process.

You totally undercut the point you thought you had.

Blame in this case is entirely upon the GOP, they had no problems creating budgets that increased the debt YOY, suddenly they have become reformed, virtuous whores who believe that austerity in a time of recovery (look how the EU is going!) is the solution. It isn't the path to economic/employment recovery, but history shows time and again that Keynes got it right in times like this... and the GOP hates history.

I made a topic a day or two about this, later in the day Reid turned around and said that Dems would vote and McConnell then filibustered his own motion for this vote. They are all a bunch of clowns.
