    Exactly wrong. In your view, what SHOULD have happened is that officer should have stopped ever person walking by, taken $10 for each at threat of arrest, and paid for the shoes that way - claiming he was the one being charitable, while cursing the heartless people he had robbed for being too greedy.

    If it wasn't for the tourist taking a picture of the interaction we would have never known about this. That policeman is the real deal.

    He did a press conference about his decision. Light on anything other than what he did and how he did it, I'm not a body language expert but he was very sincere IMO and seems like a legit good guy.
