Saxby Chambliss: 'I Care A Lot More About' America Than About Grover Norquist

Which is why Saxby Chambliss is going to be primaried out of the Senate in 2014.

... any chance the Cons have learned their lesson? They have now "primaried" themselves out about six Senate seats and the majority position in the Senate over the past two elections.

(* - People have this idea that income tax is designed to tax total income. It does not. The tax is designed to tax discretionary income, after the cost of living necessities have been deducted, which is why we have deductions and exemptions. This is the reason 47% of the population pays no income tax is because 47% of the population have no discretionary income. They only have sufficient income, by definition, to pay for the basics of life (food, shelter, healthcare), while the top 10% have a ton of discretionary income and hence pay more income taxes)

Your attempt at obfuscation is filled with a lot of holes. The bottom 47% not only do not pay income taxes, they benefit more than anyone else in regards to Government subsidies and welfare handouts. They are getting stuff for free. The people earning income and paying income taxes are subsidizing their lifestyles. As a result, economic growth takes a hit, opportunity costs are prevalent, and there are numerous negative exernalities that affect opportunities for those in the 47% that want upward mobility and growing incomes.

Look at median income over the last 4 years. It's down significantly.

Look at the cost of HC. Up significantly.

Gas and other commodity prices - WAY UP

There are a lot of factors economically here at play but instead of actually talking about this stuff you want to make class warfare arguments and pretend corporations are evil and they aren't paying their fair share or something. You are incorrect in your assumptions.

Oh and just to set the record straight. People making under 60K have more disposable income than those making 60K

In Entitlement America, The Head Of A Household Of Four Making Minimum Wage Has More Disposable Income Than A Family Making $60,000 A Year | ZeroHedge

SSI pays $8,088 per year for each "disabled" family member. A person can be deemed "disabled" if thy are totally lacking in the cultural and educational skills needed to be employable in the workforce.

If you add $24,262 a year for three disability checks, the lowest paid welfare family would now have far more take-home income than the $60,000-a-year family.
