Are dependents human beings?

are children accorded the same rights as adults, especially when concerned with the person acting as their guardian?

I was unaware my question dealt with age of majority.

well, we are discussing children. Unless you are unaware children are viewed differently than adults, especially within interactions with their guardian (which the school acts as while the child is under their care, I am unsure how you would come to the conclusion that age was irrelevant.

I asked if they are human beings. They are and this is not changed due to how the law views them.

Regardless, while there needs to be a great deal more effort in clearly defining the limitations of parents can have on their children it is accepted that they do have body sovereignty outside of maintenance and they have some level of right to privacy outside of what is called for to maintain their safety. Usually speaking at the age of the kid in question the parents would permit their child a great deal of privacy which is far more than what the school is doing here. If the law is to reflect ability than treating all young people like toddlers is insufficient and an inaccurate look at why you treat children as needing the supervision and care of their parents. Still, toddlers and older kids should be watched by people, not by devices.

Simple question clears it up - may parents legally require their children to wear RFID tags. If the answer is yes, the school may. The issue then becomes, NOT if the student objects but if the parents do. A side issue rears it's head - what of the student who is 18 and legally an adult?

he's pointing out that the law, for good reason, views children differently than adults.

Much of the reasons for it are not very good, but yes, I realize this.

I think age is both relevant and irrelevant depending on which very specific point on is talking about.

For example my work has these trackers, and just like these kids none of my rights are violated.

Adults that dont like it or Kids that are 18 can simply find a different school because this is nothing different than what is already going on in other schools with out the trackers. Students are monitored, supervised and not allowed to do as the please when they please.
