Not if the rules are invasive and insulting (and have now been ruled illegal). I'm certainly not going to teach my children that blindly following the rules is a good thing.

Re: Student Suspended for Refusing to Wear a School-Issued RFID Tracker

Would YOU carry one (RFID) if they were handed out every time you walked into a store?

Willingly and gladly? It's a private enterprise, and it would cut down on theft. Can't be anything but a "win/win".

This question is directed primarily at those who believe it is a good idea for the students and/or is the right of the school. A non-answer will be interpreted as a hypocritical 'no'. An articulate 'yes' or 'no', with corresponding legitimate comment, will be accorded the proper respect it has earned and deserves.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

If teachers wish to keep tabs on students they can do it just like everyone else keeps tabs on kids. There is no reason to add in a tracking device to do the job.

are children accorded the same rights as adults, especially when concerned with the person acting as their guardian?

I was unaware my question dealt with age of majority.
