or learn that its not a violation and have 10 people expelled or that they can simply pick a different school

My tracking device doesn't work? I have no idea how that happened.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

I'm not the greatest fan of the RFID tracker in this instance, but for myself, GPS has been a remarkable advancement in navigation technology, allowing me to figure out where I need to go on a daily basis. We also use it to track my brother (who has PDD NOS), unknowingly.

I'm all for mobilizing kids to ignore this rule. I will even assist them in microwaving the little bastards.

And yes, its a violation. I'm not going to go over this again and again with you.

Re: Student Suspended for Refusing to Wear a School-Issued RFID Tracker

One area where Constitutional rights are really being put to the test is in public schools. "Safety" measures that usurp freedoms which would never be tolerated in the adult population are often deemed okay when applied to minors. This is not acceptable. Everyone should have the same rights on or off school property.

RFID tags are not necessary to get an education. Get them out of our schools. If they want to protect the school they can hire security guards. Other than that, it's big brother authoritarian control. Schools are not prison, and honestly, who hasn't skipped class or done something silly during their school years? It's part of growing up. Are we going to start punishing kids using GPS now? lol...

This is not the kind of care that children need and it continues to move in the opposite direction away from nurturing and love. Stop treating children like inmates. They are complete human beings just like adults.

Call me paranoid if you want but I don't like the idea of fellow citizens or the government tracking me.

I could, but it's not always a benefit. If you consider the Google Glasses concept video, then your point is fairly received. Otherwise, I am thankful I live in an age when my disability can be aided by technology which guides me step by step from one place to another. With regard to my brother, it's also useful to know where he is in these harsh climates, as he has been known to walk considerable distances (from one town to another) without the proper winter or summer attire on, if he feels his transportation is not quickly at his side. -20 or -30 degrees, inappropriate winter clothing, and a rash feeling of needing to walk to the next town overrides any privacy concerns.
