Atheist Action Halts Calif. Nativity Display; Churches Go to Court

My argument or statement has nothing to do with the legal or illegal nature of the vandalism, nothing at all. It has to do with a mean spirited and tasteless attack on religion for no other purpose than to insult a belittle, as well as the vandalism being a similar act.

So cry some more. Oh boo hoo it's a free country and you don't like how it played out. It doesn't mean the atheists did anything more than exercise a right. I don't understand why people cannot live by the duties and consequences of freedom.

People exercising rights are rarely at fault. Your anger is misplaced and it seems to be rooted in your desire to blame atheists for expressing themselves. Freedom...learn to live with it.

Jesus Christ Ikari, I will say it yet AGAIN. My argument has nothing at all to do with rights, anything illegal etc. They were stupid and the vandals were stupid. It was moronic and disrespectful on both parts.

Has nothing to do with freedom or any anger at all as I don't really care. They both lost that privileged anyway. More mountains out of mole hills. I am not blaming any one one side over the other, and to assume so is just ignorant or purposely blind on your part as I have been more than clear.

In fact I will say your wanting to blame unknown parties and assume they are Christians is closer to some stupid agenda than anything I have said. In fact I think you are projecting at this point.

No argument so now you resort to personal attacks. Very classy.

Just so I get this right, these churches are suing the government claiming their rights to freedom of speech were violated because the government wouldn't provide them a soapbox and place in the park?

Found this gem lower down...

So the city ended the practice because the religulous were vandalizing the other displays.

These type of overzealous atheists are as annoying as the Westboro folks.

If you don't believe in God and think the Christian faith is a fairy tale, then a Nativity Scene is just some quaint little tradition the villagers engage in.

When you hear the word "God" in your daily lives, can't you just define that for yourselves as a three-letter word for a faith in science and reason? God can mean whatever you want it to mean. These atheists seem like they're paying too much attention to something they don't believe in. Do atheists get offended when they see a Mickey Mouse or Snoopy xmas display? They're just made up characters in a story people tell their children.

Christmas means different things to people of different faiths. My Jewish friends always said it meant short lines at the movies on Dec 24. But when these Atheist assholes put up displays mocking peoples faith, it's the same thing as protesting funerals with God Hates Fags posters. They are doing it just to get attention and push peoples buttons. They're being very organized and aggressive public trolls.

So their displays got vandalized? Then I say God has spoken through his people ;)

No argument so now you resort to personal attacks. Very classy.

Not a personal attack, just a statement of fact. The ones responsible for the cancellation are the vandals, not the atheists. Sorry if your personal bias wishes it was more. But reality is as it is. Deal with it.

would you please point out the personal attack as i missed it

Not a personal attack, just a statement of fact.

Blatant personal attack and hyperbole, period.

Please don't insult my intelligence. Again they were both party's to it, period. One instigated and the other broke the law. If you can't see the reality, that it's on you.

"Religions are all alike -- founded on fables and mythologies." Another sign read, "Happy Solstice."

I don't find that offensive at all. I agree with it 100 percent. The fact that the atheist signs were vandalized shows how much bigotry exists against atheists.

Some tend to whine and cry about personal attacks when they have no rational defense for their arguments.

The one's at fault are those infringing upon rights, not those exercising them. End of story.

I don't need to qualify my argument to someone who does not like the answer and then complains about it, then accuses me of crying about. Think about it.

I'd say you have a harder problem qualifying the argument in the first place.

In YOUR view of the story. My argument and/or comments have nothing to do with rights, laws etc. Both sides were at fault, period. If you don't like it, too bad.

I'd say you have a harder problem qualifying the argument in the first place.

Then why are you ignoring my statements of fact about my argument and making personal attacks? So no, that would be wrong yet again.

Exactly! Your argument does not account for rights. And that is why you fail.

Because my argument has nothing to do with rights, or law as I have said about 30 times now. Do I have to keep repeating that or are you just going to keep repeating the same thing over and over again like another poster? Hell I have all night for you to go: "I am not listening to blackdog la la la."

Then why are you ignoring my statements of fact about my argument and making personal attacks? So no, that would be wrong yet again.

I've made no personal attack and have considered what you said. Wrong doing is on those who infringe upon rights, not those exercising them. This is a consequence of freedom.

Thanks again for stating why your argument is failure.

Hehehehehehe! The only thing that fails here is your lack of understanding the written language of my posts.

I understand it just fine. Your argument is exactly why we have a democratic republic based on the rights of the individual and not a strict democracy.

Yes you did, don't be dishonest about it. What do you think saying "So cry some more. Oh boo hoo" It is also baiting as well. Again my argument has nothing to do with rights. I can say it 100 more times if you like.

It was misdemeanor vandalism, I refuse to debate Constitutional law over misdemeanor vandalism. It was not the point of my statement and has nothing to do with it. Give them the $25.00 fine and be done with your lame ass argument. Oh man.

You may say it an infinite number of times, you are still wrong. Your argument says that black people who first started to vote were partially responsible for the violence they endured because they instigated the violence by voting. Clearly a bad argument.

The vandalism caused the cancellation. No amount of dancing changes that.
