That poor child was absolutely destroyed that day. I don't think things get more evil than that.

A lot of people take their worst secrets to the grave - or divulge it just before they die . . . I hope he finally was able to find some peace after that.
There is beauty in everything and the article relates how Robbie became a "happy go lucky" child even with all the stuff he had to go through. He should be an inspiration to children everywhere.

I'm absolutely sick to my stomach after reading about this - and I never heard about it after all this time? Right in Texas - what the ****?

Not sure I can agree with executing someone for acts when they were 13. Life in prison, sure. Death penalty, maybe not.

the justice system of modern world must change. .these psychos must be executed after they are made to experience the same thing they applied to their victims..i will always support the death penalty.

The 8 year old (at the time) got the DP (eventually) along with extensive, unimaginable suffering for years, what is not right about the humane execution of the monster (human garbage?) that inflicted that upon his victim? If tried/sentenced as a juvenile I doubt anything can be done now since juvenile sentences usually end at age 21 or result in adult parole only. See link:

Still again I ask what is the opposition to the death penalty? Kill that bastard. Seems simple enough to figure out.

What we will never know is how many other children and people he has hurt.

When you were 13, you of course knew that it was wrong to rape someone, tie them to a tree, and burn them alive.

People here like to say the "our legal system isn't perfect, but its the best in the world so far."

I believe that statement is not accurate.

Don't get me started on our legal system. It's hot garbage.
