Bobby Jindal: GOP Should 'Stop Being The Stupid Party'

Yep. I'm hoping that Republicans stick hard to those principles they were talking about during this election. Forever, if possible.

And I would love it if democrats started being honest too.

You mean he speaks and acts for HALF of the american people. I have seen little evidence that Obama (or Bush or any pres) acts in such a way as to represent everyones conflicting ideologies.

Then you fail because you don't understand representative democracy or the purpose of an election. See if your local junior college offers any night classes on American Government.

There's no way one person could possibly do that. Expecting it from the President is kind of...can't think of the word right now, but....

EDIT: A little unrealistic is what I'm going for I think.

You're right, but it just can't be that one person represents all conflicting ideologies.

We're seeing more and more Republicans saying things like this. It seems that there might be hope for the GOP, after all. Seems like they're actually listening to the American people, for once.

Yes, it is about time they dump the Roosevelt style Big Government progressives.

Representative Republic, not democracy.

Wrong. Fail. You get a zero for the course.

Ad hominem.

Thats was why the constitution was designed to distribute power from the bottom up. Individuals would have the most power and decide whats best for themselves. The federal govt would have narrow powers which would benefit everyone equally. NOW its reversed. One person is deciding whats best for 300 million different individuals from cradle to grave.

Exactly why we revolted against a King, and established a Republic.

It's a bad time for any party when someone with the intellect of Jindal calls you stupid. He's in the process of dumbing down the La. school system with vouchers for creationist sects.. It's already at the bottom of the list but apparently LA. schools are still not low enough for Jindal..

Oh, right, evil school choice...so much for being pro-choice.

The Constitution leaves us no choice but to say NO to funding religious education. Using State money to indoctrinate ignorance instead of enlightenment would make our Founding fathers cringe with horror.

Actually, I was referring to the fact that that's the way they seem to be heading. Nothing wrong with "big" government, as long as it's utilized properly.

The state can do what it wants. The first amendment is a prohibiton on the US congress.

Jindai is trying to play the liberal/marxist game of Group Identity Politics

Personally I don't play those games. I also laugh at people who try to point at one politician to silence another.

Here's the dirty little secret. The Democrat Party is the party of Big Government Hand outs. Big Government Entitlements. Big Government Promises that are all lies. Our children are being enslaved to massive debt and you and your ilk don't care because it allows you to divide a nation on race/class/income. The Marxist/Collectivist way.

You support hand outs and welfare. The modern Democrat Party is the party of hand outs and welfare. Why deny it? Everyone knows it's true.

Rep. Joe Atkins from Missouri disagrees with Governor Jindal. Atkins says that you can say anything you want because if you don't mean what you say then your words cannot harm anyone. <insert fap icon here>

Dear Bahjeebus...just shoot me. Atkins needs a lobotomy.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. ;)

I hear ya. What's so scary...there's probably thousands of Atkins scattered throughout our city, state, and federal governments. Can you imagine how many that exist in the IRS?

Its been awhile since I've had a drink, but it's starting to look more and more alluring. The shock therapy administered by our political system isn't fun anymore.

Don't start again, my friend. It isn't worth it. Oddly enough I find myself drinking less and less. I don't need the world to make less sense than it already does. In fact, lately I've been addicted to ice tea. Of course as every Southern person knows ice tea is almost the staff of life. But for a couple of months now I'm craving it. I drink about a half gallon a day. Can't get enough of it. Booze doesn't rock me like it used to. I still have it, but less than before. Ice tea is the naked truth!

Maybe it's the crazies forcing me to be more vigilant.

Ok, I see....thanks for letting me know you are against liberty.
